Send from PC vs. Email Marketing Servies (eg: Mailchimp)
I've got a simple online ecommerce store that sells physical products online to consumers.
I've always created, managed and sent all my email campaigns from my computer using Sendblaster & recently I've used MailRelay as the SMTP server.
Recently I've been thinking of perhaps moving to a email marketing service such as Mailchimp or even MailRelay's service.
But I was just wondering what are the real advantages of using them above sending from my own computer and using a legitimate SMTP server (such as mailrelay's)?
I understand that they have segmenting functionality and tracking stuff - but I do a lot of that through Analytics (probably not as good as theirs though!)
But I am mainly interested if people think open rates will be better? Will delivery into inboxes increase by using someone like Mailchimp?
Thanks in advance for your information and ideas!
