If you mean the actual construction and drafting of highly responsive emails...

I highly, HIGHLY recommend Ben Settle.
    Google him.

He shows how to make email writing in a way that gets people super excited about opening and reading your emails. His open rate and click through is insane.

And honestly, his method has made email writing extremely fun and effective for me. So much easier to sit down and write an email...rather than dreading it, struggling to find what to talk about.

Tons of content in his free newsletter. Check it out.

Awesome Thanks for the recommendation @frankie_flores I have downloaded it myself as it is something I am looking to become more of an expert in. Over the last couple of months I have noticed that after sending out an email to my list I have had several of my subscribers sign up into my business. But what I truly want to do is teach my team how to do the same and/or get them the best information to learn how to do the same.

I purchased the Jimmy Kim product and it is basically one giant sales pitch since the bulk of the videos are about learning to set up and use the tools that HE owns - and which you have to buy outside of the cost of the course.

If the course and been $7, it would have been fine. But at $47 - there should be more content than sales pitch, and that was not the case here. Plus, the traffic sources recommended were all PPC/PPV with high initial deposits that are not practical for a lot of newbies looking for this kind of training.

So good to read honest reviews rather than all of the hyped up affiliates saying the product is fantastic [when thinking about how much commission they are gonna make].

I was thinking of giving it a go but think I will pass it up as I wondered just what would be delivered for the $49 - no more time to waste !!

I personally like the GetResponse training. Seems good so far and I've only done a few of the lessons. They also have a 30 day trial going on right now.

I would suggest Anik Singal or Jimmy Kim (they are both also really good business partners). Currently I'm following Jimmy Kim's product and I can say that it is really 'noob-friendly' and explains to you how to use all the tools and knowledge provided. If you want more information or my opinions about the product, contact me personally.

I've been making my living with email marketing for 10 years and have purchased many courses.

Ben Settle's information on infotainment is quite good.

You can start off reading his emails and also listen to his podcasts. Then buy some cheap Kindle books of his on the subject and try it out first. Later you can join his more expensive monthly newsletter if you like his methods.

Also if you can get your hand on some Matt Furey email courses as well. His Tao of Email is quite good and easy to learn. If you can get a copy of his "Email Fortune" course that is really good too. I paid 1k for it I think in 2008 and it's not for sale anymore. But maybe you can find it on Ebay or somewhere else.

I also liked Terry Dean's "Autorepsonder Alchemy" course. That had many very useful concepts.

Another course I liked though not specifically for email only is Paul Hancox's "Presell Mastery." But you can 100% use it for email also.

Years ago Jason Fladlien put out a great email writing course as well.

I think it was called "Tiny Lists Big Profits" though it may not be for sale anymore either. But it was quite good.

Also Jimmy D. Brown has had many great email teachings over the years. Unfortunately he keeps on taking his own products off the market.

You might like his "From Free to Fee" course. Which you can definitely use with email. But alas it looks like he took that off the market too.

Sometimes you just have to get into stuff early. I have a TON of Jimmy D. Brown products that I absolutely adore.

His List and Profits membership site years ago was a great deal and taught a lot about email marketing.

There are many other courses but those come most readily to mind. And are some of the best. The Ben Settle, Matt Furey and Jason Fladlien courses are not on the conventional side of things. So quite useful for opening your mind to new ways of doing things.

      Roger

P.S. One final shout out. This is for Allen Says to creator of the WarriorForum. I never got a specific email course from him. But his writing is so amazing that 10 years later and more I'm going back and reading blog posts of his that are no longer on the Internet but on archive.org.

      http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://instantgurublog.com

He has a system of writing that I call "Excitement Writing." I have a number of his products. And what I've done is studied them in depth and created from that an excitement writing system.

I mind mapped it out and really dug deep into his paid products and free blog posts. If you can learn to write like Allen Says you'll have an absolute raving fan base.

The only shortcoming is that he often did not sell in his blog posts. At least not a product. But he sold the hell out of himself because of the very powerful way he wrote. Therefore whenever he wanted to sell something it was quite easy for him to do.

Well the other problem is that he often wasn't very "how to" oriented. He gave you the exciting idea but not always concrete examples to follow. So you have to really dig deep and study him and writing in general to figure out what makes his style of writing tick.

I highly recommend you try and find a copy of his free Magic Letters book.

If you can't find a PDF you can read here for free:

      http://www.marketing.rogerhaeske.com/MagicLetters.htm

If anyone is interested I may share my excitement writing notes with you as a PDF file.

He also reveals many writing secrets in his awesome Money and Power interview. It was so good I bought the resell rights for it even though I'm not in the IM niche.

Ben Settle has always struck me as at the very least, an honorable guy who's devoted to his craft and at most, an incredibly talented copywriter and marketer.

I'm glad I found this thread because I've been receiving compelling email marketing material from Brian Kreuzberger of Breakthrough Email | The #1 Resource for Effective Emailing. It appears that it's meant for B2B marketers of large accounts. I was tempted by the quality of his content to enroll in his video & mp3 course until I saw the price of it......$1,997.

His refund policy is good in writing, too. But frankly, I know nothing about Bryan Kreuzberger and I don't know of anybody that's taken his course. Can you tell me anything about him or the quality of his courses?

    Thanks, in advance.
