Aside from putting the tips in this section: Email Marketing

I highly recommend writing an email every single day...

That will help you quickly get better at crafting profitable emails (if that's your bullseye).

    Another one, for broadcasts...

Would be to send to the unopens (they need love too!).

I got to agree with you on this one.

Writing an email a day, would help you become
      better pretty damn quickly.

Do it for 30 days and watch with how fast and creative
      your emails become.

      And with the emailing un-opens.

I just read an email from Sumo.me saying that they did that
but just changed the subject line and they go a higher
open rate than that did on the original email

      So give that a try

The whole idea behind email marketing is it's traffic on demand so to speak. The bigger thing really is you now have a group of people you can stay in contact with to build that like and trust factor.

Email marketing does not mean you spam your list with product offerings but actually the opposite.

As my friend Chris Farrell says "be good to your list and your list will be good back"

Email marketing when done correctly is very, very powerful and will never ever die as long as we have Internet. Email marketing actually has been around way before the Internet.

Just now we are in a digital age...

The search feature on this forum is very effective for finding lots of information on the topics you want to learn about. You will be able to find lots of information, much more then you will get from people replying to one post. It is a great way to research IM topics.

      Hey Bennington,

You need to develop a Funnel. Have at least 5 Follow Up emails in this funnel before you start promoting and building a List.

Really work on your Email Copy. NO Copy and Paste Templates.

You need to make these emails personable, funny, witty, sad, happy, mean, and just anything that will show who you are and what you are about.

      Engage them and be unpredictable.

You want them to get to know you and hopefully start to like you. Then the Trust will start to develop and they will began to become inclined to buy from you

If I may add my 2 cents - email marketing should be used as a relationship building tool when you're starting out. If you are new to IM then it will be very counterproductive to use your email list to SELL SELL SELL. You need to build your reputation first as a trusted resource to those who subscribe to your list prior to trying to extract money from them. Once you have your reputation built then your list will welcome your recommendations. They need to first know, like and trust you - then you can sell them stuff. HTH...

    1. Squeeze page/opt in page - capture subscriber emails
    2. Autoresponder - follow up emails to your subscribers
    3. Something of value - to give away to or sell to your subscribers.

Email marketing allows your to follow up with your leads and build a deeper relationship with your subscribers.

It also allows you to have an autoresponder sequence in place that will email new subscribers as soon as they opt-in, thus creating a tool that lets your business run on autopilot, in a sense.

It’s a lazy marketers best friend.

It delivers your best content, in the best possible order and frequency, to every new reader who finds you. Forever.

Some people say to email your list everyday. I would say no less than 5x per week.
Most people are subscribing to a LOT of email lists, so if you don't stay active in their inbox, they will forget about you and unsubscribe.

You DON'T want to spam your list with offers and pitch them every single day. This is a fast way to burn your list. You want to mix in value (share tips, tricks, new blog posts, videos, testimonials, etc).

Share your story: your wins, losses, successes, failures, embarrassing moments. This will make you more relatable. People like to follow and buy from people they can relate to.

The best way to get good is to be consistent. Writing good emails is a skill that takes time to develop.
My advice would be to subscribe to 2-3 marketers who you really like and who already have the success you want, and model/study from their emails. You can use them as a template to create your own emails (but don't copy word for word, that's not cool).

    Hope that helps.

Best tips off the top of my head are that you should always, ALWAYS provide value to your subscribers. The products/services you pitch must help them with some kind of problem they have.

Second, be consistent with your posting. If you've told your subscribers you'll post once a week, then for god's sake - post once a week! Don't allow your list to forget about you.
