Getting Traffic, A list, and just having a business!

Hi Warrior Member Dudes!

I'm new to this whole internet marketing stuff, but I've joined ClickBank, researched a product I like, got a website and changed it to my liking and what suits the target audience, changed the green button to link to my tracking ID, and walla!

However, all is good... (check my page out and let me know if it looks ok...), but... there are some things i don't know what to do, or what to do next.

So, essentially, I'm kind of asking, what do i do from here? I have a website, admittedly hosted by Instapage. Traffic? Email Lists? Where do i go from here? I think Instapage charges for this kind of stuff... but i don't want to be paying too much and not getting absolutely anywhere....

Some sound advice would be appreciated as this is all pretty raw to me.

Below is the website .

Lose Weight Healthily with Venus Factor

I've also got my Google Analytics set up and have inserted the tracking ID.

Thanks guys!

My advice would just be to get an autoresponder account.

Getresponse, and Aweber are great & they have free trials.

Then create an email follow up sequence.

You can either create your own, or you can look up affiliate JV pages in your niche, or get onto other peoples lists in your niche to get ideas of what to write.

A hint for finding people with lists is typing in your keyword into youtube, or a search engine, and looking for people advertising for that .

Then when that's setup you can start getting traffic to your website & seeing how well everything works out.

For getting traffic I'd say maybe starting with soloads. You can find vendors in the health niche on Udimi, or joining FB groups, and posting in the groups looking for people with lists in the solo industry. Just make sure that they have recent testimonials, and you like what you see. You can also reach out to people who gave them testimonials & see if they have recent results with that vendor.

You can also try out pinterest, or youtube which there's plenty of courses which will teach you how do that.

    Anyways best of luck

      Hi,

Thanks for your response. Is buying lists from other people really the way to go? I thought it would make more sense to join "lose weight" communities on facebook and just advertise Venus factor? I'm just thinking in terms of getting traffic I.e. attracting people to my squeeze page first.. then hoping to get emails out of it... Not buying email lists then directing them to the Venus factor page through my hotspot link....

Which one is really the best way to go?

      Thanks,
      Sushi

        Hi sushi92,

There are two kinds of traffic. Paid traffic vs Free traffic. Both work very well.
Free traffic is good because you no need to spend any money on it but you need a lot of work to get the traffic.
however, you can get traffic faster through paid traffic. I still remembered when i just started to build my email list, i used paid traffic. I bought 1000 clicks which at the end brought to me 400++ subscribers in one week. In another words, i got 400++ email list on my hand within one week only.

No matter how nice and beautiful your website is, if no one come to visit your page, then it is really hard for you to get conversion.

          Hi there,

Thanks for this - so you never really used free traffic ways then? Where did you buy the 1000 clicks from? Do you buy it and all of a sudden get 1000 people clicking on your link or...... This is what I don't really know about when it comes to actually buying clicks. Are you buying email addresses to add to your list?

          Thanks,
          Sushi

I did use free traffic like forum, social media, seo etc...

But when i just started, those free traffic take times to get traffic. However, when i use paid traffic, i can get the traffic with a very short time.

I bought my first traffic from Mytrafficsource.com. i buy 1000 clicks. Within 1 week, my landinv page was clicked around 1100 times. But unique click has around 700++. From the 700++, got more than 400 people opt in and giving me their email address.

You not necessarily have to usw paid traffic if you feel uncomfortable to spend the money, but paid traffic really can get fast result.

I heard there also have people spent more than 4 hours everyday using free traffic to get nearly 10k subscribers within a month. You see, free traffic is working but you need to spend your time.

            Conclusion :
            Money can exchange for traffic
            or
            time can exchange for traffic

If someone can spend 4 hours a day for a month to get 10K of subscribers then i really would like to know how they've done that!

Across 4-5 days i've had 100+ visitors but like 4 subscribers. Forum marketing seems to be useless as you can't put links to landing/squeeze pages... so i don't know how that is meant to help.

              It's proving pretty difficult...

You want to start driving traffic to your offer NavySkater23 gave some good suggestions. Find your target market and send all the traffic you can send to your offer. The more traffic the more sales. Always run a split test with your capture page to see which one converts the best. Either have 2 different capture pages running to your offer or have two sets of wording for your capture page. I hope this helps you. Keep us informed on your results.

I would advise you buy traffic from Facebook and
set up a presell page that tacitly implies losing
weight. Target the right audience and you'd get
more traffic than you could handle.

You have to really know what you are doing with Facebook Marketing, or else it gets pretty expensive. Maybe do a lot of research on Facebook ads, and start small.

For faster results buy solo ads from udimi and other sources like listed above. You are right that facebook ads will produce fresh leads, but you can still make sales using solo ads. Try both and start out spending small, and once you find out what is working better stick with it. It's possible both are very profitable.

      Hi Sogeshirts,

So the Udimi stuff sounds like a good idea. But you have to pay for it? Either way, to get traffic it seems like you have to pay... or am i wrong?

And also, people are selling 1000 clicks.... i'm a bit confused what these "clicks" are...?

      Thanks,
      Sushi

PS: I've got 2 emails in my email list right now... And i've tried to spread the word on different facebook pages. Has anyone ever been successful without spending money? I really don't know how this whole click system works and why it's ~$0.33 per click...

    Thanks,
    Sushi

    Hi,

The clicks is people that the seller sends to your page - the seller runs an ad to their email list and when someone clicks on the link in that ad to goto your page, thats a click - the $0.33 is what you pay for each click. So if you want 100 clicks, you would be charged $33. What happens with the clicks when they arrive at your page is down to you though, the best thing to do is try to get them to sign up for your email list, then market to them, otherwise you are throwing money away. Keep in mind also that just because you get 100 clicks (visitors) they wont all sign up. I get a 35% sign up, but im in the IM niche, ive seen weight loss collegues get a lot higher than that.

Also beware going for the 'big stuff' - Venus has been around some time and ive heard comments that its not so good to start off with if running solo ads as all your traffic will have already seen the offer. Some say that is not relevant, as it takes a lot of exposure to sell something, others disagree :-)

    Hope that helps

      Hi there,

Thanks for your support. I am a believer in the fact that you can find your own traffic. Venus has been around however it's one of the best selling, and one that has proven to work (add some determination and motivation on top of course). Currently I've had around 20-30 visits (excluding my own for testing) and i have 2 subscribers. Have you seen my squeeze page? Is there a way I should be improving it?

What's your personal take on it?

Start up about 5 to 7 really solid follow ups with Aweber or Getresponse.

Be sure to really add some good content to show women how they can get on the right track to losing weight in these follow ups.

        Really important.

You can also add some P.S. links at the bottom of these emails to your CB product

          Hi Robert,

If I have only like 1 or 2 emails in my list, what would be the point in doing 5-7 follow ups? Would it not be better to drive traffic some other way? I get 6-7 visits on the squeeze page per day but noone actually wants to put their email or name in... That's why I'm thinking perhaps it's an issue with my squeeze page. Maybe I need to make a second one and split test?

          Thanks,

I have over a 100 Follow Ups for several of my Niches. The reason why is because you want to establish a relationship over time with people. You cannot do that in one or two emails.

Plus, people need to see an offer up to 5 or 6 times before they buy

You can drive traffic usig YouTube videos. I know Venus Factor is all about weight loss, and its mostly geared towards women. You can make a review video telling people your honest opinion on it, or provide tips in a video and soft-pitch the product at the end.

      Hi Edwin,

I'll give YouTube videos a try. I've got a YouTube video on my Landing Page which reviews Venus Factor (not by me though) which acts as a testimonial on my page. I could do my own one. I guess I'll keep promoting my landing page on YouTube in comment sections for the time being.

Is forum marketing a good way to advertise as well?

Thanks man . I did something stupid though. I have 6 potential people on my "unconfirmed" list because I had double opt-in enabled. I doubt they will see the subscription emails sent as I fear on some exchanges it might go into the junk mail. I'm with GetResponse and can send a subscription reminder a maximum number of once per day. I'll probably do it every few days.

I also created a 16 minute video starring myself for the product just promoting the video is the difficulty lol...

    Hi,

Your opt-in page needs some other stuff. First of, your main headline needs to be bigger in size than any other text in the page. You also need to change the color of the title, make it in red color that would catch the eye of the reader instantly.

In addition, it's not clear whether what you're offering (a video I think) is Free or not.You need to mention the Word FREE 2 or 3 times on your opt-in page. Believe me just mentionning the Word Free will increase the conversions.

Last point, you need to be more specific about the benefits that your reader will get by watching the video. Just stating ' Loose Weight Naturally' is not enough ! Be more specific and include 4 bullet points showing the main benefits of your offer.

    All the Best !
