Email series vs Lead capture call to action

have any of you thought about the pros and cons of stringing along your leads with email after email, that they may or may not open... rather than sending them all the info in one shot with your call to action inside your lead capture?

I'm debating dumping all the info in one shot (in the form of an ebook) because the niche of this particular list will be difficult to inbox i presume. the drawback of this would be them seeing all the info at one time and get uninterested immediately by the sheer amount of info to read, making my call to action pointless.

Thoughts?

are any of you in niches that are especially hard to inbox in? ie: gmail has created a tab for your niche :\

Not 100% clear about your question.

I would be concerned with stuffing all your free info into one ebook because people don't really value what they get for free.

So with that being said, they aren't going to consume a huge ebook of value, even if it's free, which makes it not valuable.

      Make sense?

It's good to test, but it's also good to use what works.
Spreading emails over time will help you create a better relationship with your subscribers.

And if you leave them on cliff-hangers and tell good stories in your emails, they will look forward to you inboxing them the next day.

Remember, you don't want to appeal to everyone. You want to be polarizing.
Some people who subscribe won't like you or won't read more than 1-2 emails, meanwhile others will read all of them.

you missed the point. it will difficult to inbox in my niche. if i tell stories or not is irrelevent here.

I'm really confused why you are trying to build a list in a niche that is difficult to get people to read your messages in their inbox.

The whole idea of building a list is so you can communicate with the people on your list. If I am understanding what you are saying is that the people in this niche don't want to hear from you even if they subscribe to your list.

In that case, why send them to a squeeze page so you can deliver a video or video series?

I think you have answered your own question if I'm understanding you correctly. Just send them directly to one 30 minute video and skip the squeeze page completely as they will not read your emails to get them to the two follow up videos.

Let me know if I'm not understanding what you are saying.

you're not quite understanding correctly. i never said that people don't want my emails... i said that it will be difficult to inbox. theres a difference. i've gotten a little reasurrance since then about being able to inbox in this niche though.

Most of the time sending a series of emails is not "stringing them along" as most times there is a linik, usually in your signature, to get the product right away. And, if you send them all the info in one shot then what do you send next. You want them to get used to and to look forward to your emails. each one should be teaching something, not just pre-selling.

If done right, you will have a responsive list of engaged buyers

    Why not both?

Have a sales page and an email promotion.

Or in my case I use my emails as my sales page.

I link straight to the payment processor in my emails.

I can't speak on your niche but I have had more success with having a set of follow up emails related to the items vs just pushing it in front of them. Yes, I have got some sells right off the bat however the backend sales has been much greater.
