There is no really good short cut to building a list if you want it to be profitable. Purchasing an email list, no matter what country you want to target will not give you any good results.

It is also against the CAN SPAM Act of 2003 if you email to that list more than one time because it will be considered to be spam. Not that anything will happen if you do except you may get banded from your server or service if you use one based in the US. This will be more likely from the high bounce rate the will result from these kinds of lists.

It takes a lot of the server's resources to handle the bounces and if the server is slowed to much the server company will close your account.

The law is very weak. Putting that aside the results you think you will receive will not happen because the people will not know who you are.

I hope this has been helpful,

Every single thing you said is not true.

I have been purchasing lists for many years and made money from every single list I ever purchased. The trick is to buy a random sample and test it. If the sample works, then buy a larger one, etc... Whatever makes sense.

You do need to have any list you purchase cleaned and there will always be the chance your IPs could get blocked or blacklisted.

There is absolutely nothing in can-spam that says you can only mail someone one time. You can mail them till they unsubscribe.

Bounces require no more server resources than sending an email that didn't bounce.

The CAN-SPAM Act is very vague. It has to do with commercial emails where people have not given you permission to email them. The unsubscribe link is required on all commercial emails whether they have given permission to email them or not.

It is not a very good law but you will have trouble with the hosting company as I know as I did buy lists back in the early days of the internet before the CAN-SPAM Act.

Even in your reply you say the list has to be cleaned and you could get your ISP blocked or blacklisted.

These things are more apt to happen than not and is not really worth the trouble it can cause.

You must move from ISP to ISP and Server to Server or use a lot of proxies but are content to do that. It is not good advise for people who are just getting started in Email Marketing. They need to know the consequences of buying a list.

        Best regards,

Can-Spam is perfectly clear what is required and what you can't do.

So you bought lists in the early days before can-spam, but you can say that today...it's not worth the trouble. That is clearly your opinion but not based on experience, except that of over a decade ago. I've been buying lists for 15+ years.

Yes, I said that you need to have the list cleaned and that there will always be the chance that you could get your IPs blocked or blacklisted. But if you know what you are doing, this can be lessened and the potential to make 6-7 figures totally exists...is that not worth the trouble?

Sure, it's not for most people and you need to know what you are doing. But to give blanket advice to just not do it, that just irks me, as for some people it's the best business in the world.

Testing a sample of list before purchase is a good idea.

I think you should to build a manual email list using your blog or websites, because buying email list can penalize you. Offer some valuable e-books or any other resource then capture email from your targeted visitors. Also you can done this job manually or outsource this work via lead generating task.
