Cold E Mail Subject Line

Hi,

I joined a company as a Business Development Trainee last month. I have been assigned the task of Sending Cold E Mails to prospective clients. I understand that a subject line is very important for Cold E Mails.

For the subject line "Make Your Employees Perform Better"; I have three questions:
  1. Will it be considered SPAM by E Mail filters?
  2. Are there any specific SPAM filter rules?
  3. Does the subject line want to make you open the E Mail?
I know it depends a lot on the person sitting at the other end, but what do you guys think?

The quick way to test if spammy, is simply plug into like aweber as a broadcast, save it then go into your send area and check the spam score. As far as the subject line, i would definitely test many other ones...(what's the biggest benefit or reason to open it). If keeping that one for sure, i would simply test adding Still looking to have your employess perform better?

Basically just adding still looking to and a question mark, but again all about testing (although confident would outpull open rates on other.)

In the email short, tight, biggest benefit and reason why they should call you verus anyone else.

    No matter what....test...test....test.

but I think it can works.

For spam problem I write here some advices:

      - don t send mail with your inbox
      - use original subject's words
      - don t use big images
      Hi winnermarketing

Thank you for the input. I understand your valid points. But I still have a doubt. What is wrong in sending E Mails from my Inbox?

      Hi fasteasysuccess

Thank you for your response. Yes. Testing is something we really need to start doing. AWeber looks like a good service, but at the moment I'm not looking to invest in it.

I came across a lot of Free Spam Score Checkers online. Do you have any experience with them? Are they any good?

Quite frankly, if you're sending emails to an email list that you don't have a relationship with, that is SPAMMING. Don't do it. If you have someone else sending emails to their list that they have a relationship with, that is NOT SPAMMING. Do it.

It depends upon how many you are sending in a day from your email address and from your IP address. There is a reason that the emailing services are in operation. That is why they are in business - to send out non spammy emails.

    1. answered above.
    2. there are spam filter rules, that's why I use an autoresponder for bulk email.
    3. The subject line wouldn't make me open the email if I don't know where it came from.

    Anyways, my two cents worth.

This is all moot as you should NOT be cold calling with emails. This is SPAM !
      Plain and simple as that

    Hi all,

Thank you to everyone. Yes. I agree as well. It is Spamming. And I am against it as well. Time to build a new strategy.

I am planning on trying out Salesforce.

P.S: Newbie question. How do I thank users?

    Hi,

There is no thanks button for me. There probably is a minimum number of posts I need to complete before I can use that feature.
