conceptually i get it. build a list, send offer...

it seems people have different methods to build their list, im getting stuck on the part even before you utilize your preferred method...

is the landing page the first step in the funnel? is the landing page all thats needed to harvest/capture the emailer? do you need a site behind the landing page...(im that much of a noob) i mean do some marketers build their list and just send their offer in their emails with instructions to pay for said offer? or do most marketers email their list with a link to their site with their product/offer built within their site.

It hurts to read things like this.

If I were you, or a complete noob at Email Marketing, I would probably be reading min. 2-3 of the thousands of killer guides on this site, daily. Especially before throwing out such a general question.

Then once you have a serious concept or intrigued by a good method / guide. Start getting your stuff together. If you have specific questions or ready for the next level that you want to know more about then you can get much better answers.

Yes the capture page is usually the first step in the funnel and that page is all that is needed to get emails and a list.

Other than that it is all just a opnion. I send my list to a bounus page I make not straight to an offer but it works the same!

Hope you know that you also need an autoresponder. And as KMCmarketing said, after the capture page it's personal choices. you can choose to offer them cpa offer, or lead them to your product (on a separate site) or your affiliate products.

It can be a bit confusing when you are first starting out and you really do need to learn the basics before you start spending money on anything.

With email marketing you need to have a few thing in place before you start getting traffic, otherwise these visitors will be wasted. First you need an 'offer'. This can be a free report or ebook, basically some free info that someone will want in your niche.

If you don't have something of your own you can visit Clickbank and find a product that has a good info video (that's what I have on the front end of my funnel) and use that as your giveaway. Design your squeeze page to simply point to that site after submission of their email. Your autoresponder collects their email and they get sent to an affiliate product that you can earn commission on.

You then need to create a sequence of emails designed to build a relationship with your new prospect and then offer them further affiliate products. These are automatically sent out by your autoresponder at times you specify.

When you have these basics in place you can then start sending traffic to your squeeze page. That's the basics and as you learn you can create more complex sales funnels and even start creating products of your own. I hope that helps.

This is very helpful for me too, thank you.

Now as for the traffic part, this is where you either pay for traffic (however that works) or bring them via your blog, FB, Youtube, etc?

Have you invested in any courses in the past? I'm just curious as to where you learnt the words "funnel" and "landing page". I guess it's come across somewhere. To get a better idea, it might be worth going back through a sales funnel from those you're currently signed up to, and see how its broken down.

I'll drop you a message with something else that can help you out on this...
