Email provider for list that will have high bounces

I have a good legit email list of 18000 that was all opt in, but have not used it for while and I expect 20-30% bounce rate - I need to clean the list. That sort of bounce rate will put my Amazon AWS account at risk.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can email these 18000 people to get the bounces to clean the list up and not put my account with any provide at risk.

Mail it off a VPS, make sure rdns is set up and they give you a clean IP or have someone clean it like bridgemarketing: Email Verification & Data Hygiene Service - Bridge Marketing they claim 98.5% accuracy in cleaning hard bounces.

There are other companies and I'm sure you will get some responses. I will say that I have never used any of them, as my lists are huge and it would cost an arm and leg, so I built in-house verify software to do it that uses VPS's and it works great. So mailing off of a VPS is valid solution. But with such a small list, just having someone clean it may be cheaper?

I suggest HostWinds. They have phenomenal support. And they are relatively cheap. Just set up Interspire or something to send emails and track bounces.

I would suggest having your list cleaned before sending your email campaign. A service like BriteVerify (Email Validation & Verification | BriteVerify Email Verifier) will be able to help you out. As a side note, it's good practice to clean your email list at least once every 3 months to ensure all invalid or bad email addresses are removed so your deliverability rate remains unaffected.
