Taking on a Different Persona For Different Niches?

What are your thoughts on this.

I'm not talking about simply creating a fictitious person and lying about products to get sales, but an actual persona created to "fit" your niche audience. Everything you tell them is truth... it's just from a different persona so they are more accepting of that information.

I.E. women may not be as receptive to information about cellulite troubles from a man, same goes for stretch marks, wrinkles, yeast infections etc.

Thanks.

You can do it but I am not sure if you can succeed long term. Honesty pays. Imagine if you had a client thinking you were female instead of male and vice versa. If they found out, the trust factor would drop to 0.

I don't see a problem with it (for the most part).

I don't really recommend pretending to be a woman when you're a man ... because it's going to be hard to "truly" relate.

But, people take on different personas all the time. You have your workplace persona, your "hanging out with friends personal", your "with your parents persona", etc.

So ... I don't see it as being "sneaky" or whatever ... but, gender swapping might be a bridge too far (in my opinion) .... but, do whatever you're most comfortable with!

I mean, there are ghost writers who switch genders all the time ... so ... it's certainly not unheard of ... it's just not for me.

Yeah, I didn't think it would be a a problem. Just curious.

As a guy, I'd have trouble accepting body building advice from a female, same goes for man-boob reduction (a woman has never dealt with the problem), and vice versa for things more in tune with woman (finding the right bra, sports bras, cellulite, etc).

You trust those whom have "been through" the same problems and can't connect with those who have not or simply CAN NOT go through such problems.

    Thanks for your input guys.

And clearly, I'd do my research into the market.
