Long Term Profits In The Health/Diet Niche?

Hey Warriors,

So I just started profiting from my list of 20k people in the health/diet niche and I've already thought of an issue that will soon present itself.

I'm sending out a lot of great free info to help people with their problem of losing weight or feeling better, but just this past week I started mailing out paid information.

I realized there isn't a whole lot of products out there for this niche. Clickbank only has a handful of products that are worth promoting. And WF and JvZoo aren't friendly to that niche.

Does anyone have any insight or advice on how to keep profiting from a list in this niche in the long run? I'm assuming the people on the list will only tolerate being promoted the same product x amount of times before they unsubscribe.

And this niche isn't like the IM niche where there's multiple product launches practically daily.

So please, let me hear some ideas! Would really appreciate it

Thank you

Not a lot of products in the health and diet niche? Have you been living under a rock???

You need to expand your horizons. Clickbank is a drop in the bucket in the whole big picture, and eBooks certainly aren't the only thing you can promote to your list.

For example, you could insert Amazon affiliate links into your emails for all sorts of products (e.g. supplements, food prep items, cookbooks, specialty items (e.g. coconut oil, coconut water, natural sweeteners like stevia or raw honey, matcha tea, raw cacao, gluten-free alternatives, nut flours, and on and on). You could also promote fitness gadgets like FitBit, exercise DVDs, online fitness programs, and so on. That should give you some ideas.

The diet / weight loss industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, so yeah, there are tons of things you can promote to your list. Keep in mind though, that if you're always "selling" to your list and not providing value, your attrition rate will be pretty high. I would hope you're also actively working on growing your list as well.

      Thanks for the response!

Guess I wasn't thinking broadly enough, but I'll constantly be on the lookout for new things to market. Didn't even think of Amazon products so thanks for that tip!

I am growing the list weekly anywhere from 500-2000 subscribers usually. So I guess there's always new people to promote to as well. Will have to work on segmenting my list so I don't broadcast the same products over and over again to the same people.

A little new to this as you may be able to tell

Hi Phomie, glad my suggestion was helpful and I hope I didn't come across condescending - wasn't my intent.

I think once you start expanding beyond Clickbank and considering physical products, you'll start seeing opportunities all over the place (well beyond Amazon).

Good luck with your endeavor - sounds like you're off to a great start!

As far as I believe, you can not possibly promote all the offers there are out there in this niche! You can start with clickbank, jvzoo..

As others have said: the health and fitness niche is almost limitless.

This can cause its own problems though. People have very different beliefs regarding their diet and health - which can make it tricky to promote sub-niche products (assuming your list has a broad demographic to begin with).

Here's what I recommend: start tagging users based on the links they click. You can then use these sub-lists to send more targeted offers.

For example, if you include a link related to paleo in an email, tag anyone who clicks it. Then, if you want to promote a paleo offer in the future, you have an existing list of people who you know have SOME interest in that type of diet. If you make it a habit of tagging users based on their actions, before long you'll have some highly targeted sub-lists that are receptive to different types of offers.

All I see is great ideas to keep the profits rolling in for list

to add on I would say join a CPA network if you aren't currently in one the offers in health/beauty/ diet alone could provide you a sustainable business model

Trial offers that's paying out 40 bucks and up

To wrap it up, you can't go wrong when building a list in this niche... too many things to offer, too many ways to segment and get more targeted clicks

I join CPA networks like Maxbounty and MarketHealth.

They have those high converting offers from like beachbody, those exercise videos series.
They are high converting and high payout.

Also check out if there is any PPL offers and make some commission from there

There are a whole lot of products in the health and fitness niche. You have just got to look for the ones you want to be affiliated with and you believe in.

You have to connect with your list and build that relationship... even do survey and find out what your list wants then give them what they want.

I am not talking about freebie products... products that they will spend money on to get results.

Always you be the expert and the go to person help them solve their problems.

You just have to discover exactly what they are looking for and give them a good balance of content and products that will help them solve their problems.

If you want to bounce ideas off me... happy to help out just send me a message

    Cheers

Okay. Talk about coincidence. I have a dropship account here in the UK for supplements and I have just a few minutes ago set up with them for my own label. I aim to run a subscription business so I can get a regular income out of it.

They say great minds think alike so it looks like I am in good company here. Thanks guys.
