Anybody know how to setup a cron job for Sendy?

Hi,

I could use a little help to setup a cron job for Sendy to send my newsletter on a specific day at a specific time. Site is on hostgator. Anybody know how to do this?

    Emails are sent through Amazon SES so it is lightening fast. Sendy is the subscription, management, newsletter side of things but passes it all off to SES for delivery. About 100x cheaper than mailchimp.

      Yes it's cheaper because Mailchimp also use Amazon SES service. But how about autoresponder ? I think Maichimp charge you more for autoresponder. Amazon SES don't have autoresponder included.
      If you only send email, Amazon SES is the best choice.

    I think there is some misunderstanding here. Sendy is a email management system that makes it easy to work with and uses Amazon SES to deliver emails, newsletters and autoresponders.

    Sendy comes with everything you need for newsletters, autoresponders, followup email series, visual and html editor, scheduler, bounce handler, subscribe and unsubscribe handler, and more. SES is simply the delivery vehicle.

    Think of Sendy as Mailchimp for 100x less the cost of Mailchimp. Sendy itself is around $50 or so with no monthly fees and SES charges only $1 per 10,000 emails.

    Per 10,000 emails charges

    MailChimp $200
    Campaign Monitor $105
    Amazon SES $1

    Sendy does not have the html email templates and email design setup that Mailchimp and other similar types of providers do. You can create html email by hand or buy templates. A quick search you will find some free ones. You can also just use Mailchimps templates with Sendy. Sendy is definitely a hands on approach.
