Long Term Engagement Strategy

Our product consists of one financial service. Once someone uses our service, they don't really have a reason to apply again until maybe one or two years later.

Having said that, we want to invite them back to apply after one year and again after two years. However, I don't want to just wait a year and then send a message to a now cold list.

My strategy up to this point has been to send blog content with affiliate offers linked in the text each month. This keeps the list warm and our brand in sight up until the invite.

Any ideas or best practices for a situation like this?

Definitely in your situiation, like said, don't want to wait a year or two to shoot another message, so...

would suggest simply keeping in contact, providing value and entertainment in emails and here's the crucial part...

Come up with a way to keep them in contact and or needing you for the duration till ready for you. This can be addtional services (not affiliates), help etc...

Yes, you need to stay engaged with them throughout the whole year.

Curious, but what kind of Affiliate offers are you sending them ?

And you might want to send straight out quality Offers mixed in with that blog content. ( not in the actual middle of the blog content but totally seperate emails )
This will not hurt you if you keep a good balance and do not be incessant about it

Great idea, Robert. The affiliate offers play a pretty minimal role. Our service product is based around auto loans, so the affiliate offer might be for Auto Zone, free credit reports, etc. Mainly to drive a little bit of increased revenue on the side.

    Good day!
Come to think of it, even you are sending them blogs with affiliate offers link you're still waiting for years for them to apply again, why? Maybe because they're not satisfied on your service. So I think you should start to know the weaknesses of the said service offered and enhance it. Then Build a new strategies and give them what they really need, for you to be able to keep them as your long time users. Hope it will help to your concern. Thank you.

You should email your list atleast once every week. Further upload your list on facebook custom audience and advertise them your content daily. This way you will always be in front of them without actually being pushy or bothering them xx
