promote offer with or without a sign up form

I was wondering if anyone knows if when promoting an affiliate offer that has an opt in area on there site that you sent them from your opt in list has a better or worse buy rate then one that has no opt in area.

Do people get turned off by too many places wanting their e-mail address when wanting to buy something.

If you send someone to a sales page that has an opt in form, you risk losing your commission. You need to verify that if you send someone to that page and they opt in, you will still be getting a commission. Some vendors do track this, while others just keep the sales for themselves.

One way to check is to use your own affililate link and sign up via the opt in, then when you get a promo email click on it and see if your affiliate code is still there. Another way is to just ask the vendor if and how they track for affiliate commissions when someone you refer opts in to their list

well.. if that sales page attracted to them... they will sure opt in ...
one of the reason that sales page has the opt in page... is because later then... which is what we as email marketers do... will sent more emails to them... to upsell them items or promote other products to them...

If someone REALLY wants to buy a particular offer/ware, no opt-in in the world will stop the transaction from occurring.

As long as the value has been built-up beforehand, (in the prospects' mind), the sale is more/less a done deal.
If he/her is still sitting on the fence, any other distraction (or opt-in) might hamper the sale.

The real issue is, sending more "ready-to-buy" traffic to an offer, than untargeted tire-kickers (i.e. competitors, curious cats, and freebie seekers).

The best thing is to test both of them and track the results, compare.
But I would sent to a sales page with an opt-in if the product is good, don't think too much about other variables.

if you are the affiliate..like agmccall wrote...you need to ensure that you will get credit when they finally buy...

to be honest...if I'm an affiliate...I want to send you to a "buy" page and not an email signup page...I can take care of the emails...that is my job as the affiliate...I don't want to send my warm traffic to your email opt in page...I want to send my warm traffic to your buy page...

but that an't your question....as a vender...I sell a lot more from my email list sending warm traffic to a buy page versus sending cold traffic to a buy page...

To clarify...I will collect the email address as an affililate....I send them to your page as the vender after having warmed them up by my emails...

    Hi,

If you like to promote any product through website or video, it is necessary to collect the leads for future campaign. Without which you will totally spoil all of your hard work.

    thanks

In the long run , you do want to build a list of people in your niche . This enables you to keep in touch with a group of people who will , Know you , like you , and trust you . they will take your advice when you recommend future products that can help solve particular problem. Remember that if you are helping people solve a problem , sales will follow.
