Really dumb question about hosting and autoresponders

Hi everyone,

I am busy configuring my new getresponse account and opt in form on my web host.

Question - is my hosting account in danger if I send out my opt in form URL in safe list emails?

Or is that a really stupid question?

I would like to try out different methods of getting opt ins, but I don't in any way want to risk my hosting account. Is your hosting account safe if you use a service like getresponse? Even if you host the opt in form for it?

Thanks for any replies!

Yes, it is safe when you are using your hosting account to GetResponse.
Through getresponse website your opt-in email contains an unsubscribe option for the people who don't want to subscribe to your email and they will simply unsubscribe from there. So, there are very minimal chances that your hosting, email will land into the spam folder. You can send an email to your account to see whether everything work fine and your hosting emails getting into inbox folders.

I hope you got your answer.
    cheers

Thanks.. I'm guessing hosting accounts are more affected by self hosted email options then?

The hosting account (getresponse) will record any spam complaints - because you used their domain in the email - and will shut you down if it exceeds their rate.

      You can count on it.

I am aware of this - but the reason I was asking was for web hosting account security. I don't plan to spam, but it's possible you will get a bad safe list.
