Hi Warriors,

I am sure there are many unique answers to this question:

What is the best way you have found to capture an email address while promoting an affiliate product?

Thanks,
Brian

List building, at it's most basic, is the process of collecting names and email addresses of people in your niche. Basically, you are trying to build a mailing list of interested customers/potential customers, to whom you can send emails.

The best way is a squeeze page. They convert more than any other method of capturing email to a list.

Clearly offer a reason to opt-in (email course, ebook, chance to win an iPad) and limit "leaks" of external links.

Once they opt-in you can send directly to an offer or a "Thank You" page that promotes your list (open my emails) and suggests and offer (Since you are here, this is something I know you'll like).

If you run a blog you can put an opt-in in the side bar or have a banner link to your squeeze page but directed traffic - especially paid- should go to the squeeze age to maximize conversions.

Once on your list your autoresponder should have a well constructed series of emails that:

    - Provide value content and build a relationship between you and your followers
    - Promote the affiliate offer you are marketing
    - Use your list as a source of traffic to your properties like your blog, YouTube channel, etc.

Details depend on the kind of business you have and offers you are promoting. Whether you have a blog or are simply engaging by email and sending offers. If you have other assets the email list will support with traffic and engagement like a Facebook page, YouTube Channel or Blog, etc.

Simple but effective Squeeze Page. I use to utilize more of an Article Marketing approach to capturing leads...
i.e. Site with Content and optin form on the Side.

Squeeze pages have been more effective for my Niches and business models

Unfortunately, all of this including squeeze pages are going down hill (especially with Google) and people don't trust these pages anymore. Yes...article marketing is the thing of the past. As it has always been said, your list is worth a mint. Where do you obtain large optin an TCPA compliant email lists.....contact me...I just finished one (business loans) that included an international split with China in there...a challenge but came out great. I work with almost all niches (no dating, porn). I do work with casino sites now in Scandinavia, cosmetics worldwide. I do all ecommerce, etc. Message me for more info.

    Hey Brian,

Sorry for the late reply, but by far solo ads.

If you can find a good solo ad provider it works like magic.

Just be sure to keep an eye on what you're paying for the solo ad and how much you actually make from it.

Secondly, forum marketing. I've been having great results with it so far & it's free so it's even better, but it does require more work with most likely less results, but it's still really efficient and I love answering people's questions so it's a win, win.

    Hope this helps

    Adam

Have a squeeze page that has similar copy to that of the affiliate product. When the user enters their email redirect them to the affiliate product. Boom!

A squeeze page giving away a freebie related to the affiliate product works for me. Some may say that giving away a freebie will create a list of freebie seekers, but I don't worry about the freebie seekers. Follow up and the buyers will buy from you and the freeebie seekers will either unsubscribe or maybe, just maybe you may touch their soft spot and they will make a purchase from you also.

    Hi Brian,

This strategy worked well for me in building an email list whilst promoting an affiliate offer.

    1. Identify the 3 biggest benefits of your affiliate offer - the pain or problem it can solve.

    2. Look right here on the "WF Discussion" thread for an example of any of those pains/problems

    3. The more views a thread has the more likely this is a widespread need.

    4. Compile a simple short freebie report that solves 1 of these pain/problem solutions - Google search is your guide here.

    5. In your free report have a link to your affiliate offer.

    6. Create a squeeze page with a headline highlighting that problem and your free solution

    7. On your TY page tell them to check their email for your freebie but whilst their waiting for it to be delivered ask them to focus on the link to your affiliate offer indicating it has so many other benefits (problem solutions) for your subscriber

    8. In your follow-up email sequence focus on why your subscribers should consider buying your affiliate offer.

    Hope this helps
