Why are marketers still using Aweber?
I only email my list once a week and it's just a link to an article on my blog. I have removal links at the top and bottom of my emails and the subscribers are people that have signed up for the list, no funny business.
Either way I was getting very nervous with their automated emails about my spam complaints. Because I've heard the horror stories of accounts being shut down without warning. So I decided to explore in-house alternatives.
Sendy.co was mentioned a lot on this forum. (Thanks for the recommendation )
But I didn't want to deal with setting everything up on my end which is why I defaulted to aweber.
But luckily I found a nice service (easysendy.com) that takes care of everything which includes the set up of the software and hosting.
They integrated sendy.co with maildrillapp.com for me. Then I exported my list out of aweber and into the sendy software. I've sent off two emails in the last two weeks and my open and click through rates have improved dramatically. My spam complaints are dropping as well. I also like that I can see what my reputation is via the madrillapp interface and it's excellent right now. I'm so happy that Aweber forced my hand to take action.
I'll be saving myself hundreds if not thousands of dollars on aweber's fee since it jumps up dramatically when you have a large list. My cost to send emails is very little and the sendy.co software is a one time cost. So even when you factor in the mandrill send cost per email and the hosting on easysendy, I'm still saving tons of money. And I'm making more money in the long run because more of my emails are getting through.
So if you ever wanted to leave Aweber you should consider these alternatives even if you're not technically inclined. They really make everything very easy to get rolling.
