Selling in Email ___ times?

When you sell your upsell or oto and the new subscriber does not purchase...

Do you try to sell them that product again in your email campaign?

How many emails do you send out to try and get that sale?

When you move on from that initial product (oto/upsell) and on to other products how many times would you send an email trying to sell that new next product?

You can always sell without actually selling by using your P.S. line, it really depends on the voice you're speaking to your list in though, if you're writing from your personal brand or if you're writing under the entity of a company.

For example, I just released a product. I wanna sell it, but I don't wanna be all in your face about it either. I would send a hard sell email telling my list about the benefits of owning my product.. Then I might follow up with something like this:

    Hey {name},

I've had a pretty rough day. I woke up late to my football game and as the captain, you never want to set the wrong example. I messed up. My team was a bit out of it to start and it took us awhile to get the ball rolling. Then, after the game and 2400 mg of ibuprofen later, I'm finding myself stuck home on a Saturday night because I got bulldozed by a 250 lb defensive lineman and my back is stiff as hell.

Oh well, I hope your weekend's going much better than mine. My only solace in all this is that I made a cool $90 before my game started and another $45 when I just checked my commissions just right now, so I guess I have that to make me feel a little better.

    Alright {name}, talk soon.

Your big bro in online business,

I keep my emails more conversational speak more than anything and have no problem sending out hard sell emails when I need to.

The amount of emails you send / time spent should be relative to how much you are going to make.

Lets say someone opts-in and then you present them with a $7 tripwire that they don't take. You could continue to sell that tripwire in your follow up emails, but how much time is it really worth trying to get $7 VS youtrying to sell a $47, $97, $297, etc... offer.

    Yes.

If they don't purchase but have seen the product, they will be a bit more warm to the idea of purchasing the product because it was already presented to them. You can have your follow up promote that product again about 2 times. Same for when you move on to a new product, I'd say you should promote it 2 times and then you can move on.

    Cheers,

Well, I think if they don't buy 7 $ product then they are surely not going to buy $ 47 product ...

The idea behind the $7 product is to add them into your buyers list. Where you can promote them high ticket products.

There is no proper number how much emails you should send for oto.

You could send 4-7 emails to promote.

If they put something in the shopping cart of your website without buying then you should immediately send an e-mail with a small discount or something to push them over the edge. If they however don't even do that, you can try to send them an e-mail but make sure to vary in your offers and check which ones they click and then go further from there.

    TEST

Test it for yourself and see.

Sometimes people can get away with promoting a product once.

Others will have to promote a bit more.

    Test and find out.
