Email marketing for the hotel business

Just wondering if anyone has any experience in using email marketing for promotion in the hotel business.

We are planning a campaign now but would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has already trod this path so we can avoid any pitfalls already found by others.

Many thanks, Ron

Sign up to Expedia or any competitor email list. Learn from what they do and apply that to your email promotions. It's a simple and easy method but a lot of time, we don't take that approach.

Well, thanks for that. I don't suppose you would share with us the methods you use?

    Hi,

I think best strategy will be to build a Facebook page around hotel and from there attract subscribers to your list.

This way you will create a hybrid of social and email marketing

For hotel business best strategy would be to generate email leads from Facebook Lead Generation Ads and then use application like Sendy.co over EasySendy to start with email marketing program. Don't forget to setup autoresponder emails.

      Thanks Bobby

Good solid advice. We were thinking along those lines. Mixing the two does make sense.

I have been working with ToshaCorrigan Realty Group and Robert Marciano with his sea beach hotel for a long time as a Email campaign manager. From my experience,
I can suggest you like other members to create a facebook page on your business and spread them among the world.Of course you have to create a landing page focused on your facilities and collects email address. Then you will send them an eye catching email template based on your facilities. But you have to gather more and more visitor on your facebook page to publish your hotel facilities.I think this is the major system where you will get success within a shortest time.
    Thanks

Yes, you can do email marketing for your hotel business. You have to build an email list of the targeted audience, and then you can start running email marketing campaigns.

We setup an email marketing campaign for an RV park. They had 12,000+ customer names, addresses in their database that had been entered over the years and never looked at it again after clients checked in.

We extracted the client contact info, sent them snail mail to our opt-in page, triggered the thank you messages, delivered the "Free Night Stay" coupon for signing up, triggered the autoresponder showing them the new website, park upgrades and staff intros, special invite from the park owners, manager.

Sent them local stuff in the responders, then on responder 6 asked them to send their family and friends with RVs to our special landing page. Had them email us the name of the people they referred so they could claim their "Free Night Stay" for every name they sent us that signed up to our email list on that landing page. (We automatically gave them a free night when they sent a name regardless if the person signed up or not)

There's more but that gives you an idea how we do it. We do this for other clients in different industries. If the business has been around a while and register clients, they'll have a list of existing or past clients somewhere.

From my experience so far our email marketing campaigns never really paid off. Facebook on the other hand is a far better choice and we do get more bookings promoting there.

Also to note: Organic fans have a much higher engagement rate than fans through ad campaigns.

    Hi, Ron C Farrow

I think the easy way to promote your hotel business is to build an social media page like facebook, twitter and instagram regarding to your hotel and spread your page to attract subscribers as well as the customers. You may also send an email to those internet users about the information about your hotel.

Hope it will help to your concern. Thank you and have a nice day.

email marketing can work in your niche and as it has already been said you can link it with Facebook ads where the Facebook will direct them to your site and to the hotel. the strategy would be similar to that of other businesses. thanks

You can be able to find the other companies and how they have been able to manage the campaign. The advice I can give you is being able to design good emails with branding. People will pay a look at anythings that is attractive to the eye. Keep updating the potential clients through weekly updates. It will be good if you classified the emails so that you try to understand the behavior of each group. It will make it easier for you to have the emails customized.
