Building a list with this budget

What specifically would you do to build a list in the female fitness/weight loss niche with a monthly budget of around $500?

Write good articles, ask relevant blogs/magazines/ezines to publish them, and drive highly convertible traffic to a website with an incentivized opt-in.

In other words, I'd do article syndication in conjunction with email marketing. For advice on these subject, I recommend reading posts written by fellow members Myob, John McCabe and now-banned Alexa Smith.

    Hey wAvision,

In order to build a list in any niche, one of the best way is to offer something of value to your prospects. In the fitness/weight loss niche it could be a lot of things like an mobile app that helps people stay on track with their goals, a meal plan or anything that can be of value for them. Then in exchange of that you ask for name and email and you start building your list.

Paid to someone who is able to give you some "NOW & BEFORE" photos to get some "real" proofs for women about your product. this will increase your opt-ins an sales.
also add some reviews on net, pay someone to write comments and reviews from real facebook profiles about your project.
This 2 miracles will cost about= 50Dollars for 1 month but it will brings more sales.

of course it will needs write some HIGHLY VALUABLE and Quality content and articles about product, these articles should be optimized for SEO to brings you more organic traffic long term.

build social networks and follower base...
all above mentioned will cost in total = <500 ,,,
    Wish you the best!

I would either make a good lead magnet myself or pay someone to make one for me.

I'd find a good solo seller and then get him/her to run a solo for me to get started.

I'd optimize my landing pages and split test at least two. Then I'd keep doing the exact same thing.

I have a squeeze page and something to give for free, so that is all ready to go.

I also have about 8 emails lined up for my autoresponder so far (I will obviously be adding more)

Seems to me that the only thing you still need to figure out is how to drive traffic to your website. I already proposed one solution, but the search feature is your friend. In any case, most advice on this subject is found in the main forum, not here.

Thanks, I originally posted this in the main forum and a mod moved it here.

    # 1 - Study your end user demographic like your life was on the line (so you can speak like them, relate to their problems, and know exactly what anxieties they face).

    # 2 - Write, buy or outsource a free report that they will find to be valuable.

    # 3 - Create a lead capture page that they can read in under 5 seconds that solves their #1 problem, fear, and anxiety.

    # 4 - Have a front end funnel that helps to recoup your marketing budget as soon as possible, while introducing yourself as an authority in your niche.

    # 5 - Create a 14 day email campaign that introduces yourself, builds rapport, prestige and authority - all the while pitching your products or high EPC affiliate products.

    # 6 - After your subscribers reach the end of the 14 day campaign, they are moved into a "daily broadcast" list, whereupon you mail every single day for affiliate products, CPA products, and your own products.

    # 7 - Now that your entire funnel is established, start honing in on your end user demographic using Facebook PPC and Bing AdCenter. (This is where I would spend that $500 per month in its entirety since you're in the weightloss niche).

    PS:

If you want to go the "blogging route", you can expand as follows.

    # 8 - Instead of buying traffic to your lead capture page (or, use some of the profits generated from your email campaign), start building a Facebook Fan Page audience. (By BUYING likes from Facebook. Don't waste your time on "free" Fan Page like-generation methods).

    # 9 - Every single day, post an article on your blog and promote that with your Facebook Fan Page, and monetize your blog with direct calls to click on affiliate links, CPA offers, your products, or Amazon partner links.

Personally, I would skip steps 8 and 9 and focus on steps 1-7, but 8 and 9 could definitely work and could allow you to scale up if you'd like.

      Thanks for the input.

I have been thinking about setting up a facebook fan page, but what does buying likes do for me? I guess I just do not completely understand how fan pages work. I'm probably the only person who has never had a facebook account.

I have started an instagram account and am getting a following going on there, but have not tried facebook yet.

Focus on generating leads without money and then use the money to scale it with paid advertisements. If you jump into the paid side without learning the fundamentals, you'll waste a lot through mistakes.

Create a long-term value-providing internet business where you produce consistently great content and offer a desirable lead magnet to generate opt-ins.

Hello..You can build your email lists in the following ways depending on the resources that you have:
    1)Create a squeeze page:
This can let you get access to people who are genuinely interested in your product and who will constitute your opt-in lists.

    2)Use a Social Lead Extractor:
An email grabber/spider or social lead extractor enables the extraction of email ids from all social websites like linkedin, facebook, twitter etc for which you have to just enter keywords specific to your niche.

    3)Provide free goodies online::
Leaving a small reward like a free e-book,a video tutorial in your case about foods that are healthy or a regime scheduler can grab the eyeballs of potential customers and give you access to their email ids.

For building a list on your niche, you can try an email scraper software and get a list of emailaddress, name and other details quickly for effective marketing.
