How to still build an email list, when you have a paid subscription service?

Hi i own a betting tips website, currently i email my subscribers free betting tips daily. From next month i want to start charging subscribers to use my service, but i know this means i will miss out on a lot of new emails who would of signed up to my email list if it was free. How can i still charge for my services but at the same time carry on collecting emails from people not prepared to pay so i can still grow my list?

    Give the first tip away free and have them opt in to get it. After they receive the first tip and realize they are high quality, offer them your service.

    Why don't you segment your services? Most paid programs have a free incentive first, then they try to sell through the follow-up series
