Email marketing is a method of creating a connection with your audience by convincing them to join your email list, where you use an autoresponder series (scheduled email series) to develop the connection. The marketing aspect comes from the ability to promote your own and affiliate products to your list once you have provided value and developed a connection with the people.

Email marketing means making a cult of followers (for your blog) who reads your your content religiously, trust your content religiously, act upon your suggestions religiously.

And you earn in the end! (in long run tho!)

How can you achieve that ? well you have to master the following five things.

1. QUALITY SEO
2. QUALITY CONTENT
3. QUALITY RELATIONSHIP MARKETING
4. QUALITY INFLUENCER MARKETING
5. QUALITY COPY WRITING

To have a super dooper successful blog you need all of the above five ingredients and that may take at least an year!

Email marketing means creating a list of emails, from your customers and potential customers and sending them regular emails to keep your business in the forefront of their minds should they need the product or service that you offer.

Is it better than Adsense? I'm not quite sure what you mean. They both are different advertising platforms to get the word out about your business. You would have to test each one to see what works best for your particular business model.

If you are going to run an email campaign yourself you'll need an autoresponder. And most of us in the IM world use either Aweber or GetReponse to manage our lists and deliver our emails to the subscribers on our list.

They both offer tutorials that can explain how they work.

You will uncover nuggets you won't find on this thread because folks may be just too busy to go in depth in explaining all you need to know about email marketing.

email marketing in simple terms is where you create a list of emnail subscribers, they should be real, and use the emails to send product information to the subscribers. they target to inform the potential customers eg on new products, new prices and more information. the subscribers can also order using the emails. there are different methods that can be used to collect the emails including asking people to subscribe and other many more.. it is a wide field and maybe you can take your time and find literature that can give you more information

Email marketing is communicating 1-2-1 with your list about something they want.

I think it's easy to forget that email is one of the few ways you can still create that feeling of a personal conversation with someone. It's in the privacy of their inbox and hopefully an inbox that's important to them ... not the one for signing up to all sorts of dog poop.

Email Marketing is building a list of people interested in your organization/services/products and generating a relationship. As your list grows and your skills with email grow you will want to look into segmentation, dynamic data, responsive email templates, drip marketing and so forth as email can become a very powerful and automated tool for your new venture.

I myself have used MailChimp, Aprimo, Mandrill and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. My favorite is Aprimo/Teradata but it does come with a very hefty price tag. For most of my smaller clients I usually integrate with Mailchimp or Mandrill if they need a more custom service. I have yet to use Aweber but I hear it is pretty good.

In my opinion email marketing is when you have a subscriber list and you send emails to them, and you want to benefit with this behavior that's what we called email marketing.

As for what content and how it works would depend on what your business is. As we say you're a blogger, then you probably write quality contents to your subscribers so they will like you and your blog and you can then take advantages of them, or you write email with your links of new posts and introduce your subscribers to read and you will grow your traffic of your blog.

As if you want to choose adsense ads for your business, maybe you would like to sell things with those ads, but you will need completely different strategy and that's already another arena with email marketing.

Here i personally being befitted by learning some email marketing strategies. Targeted email collection is an important steps. The title of the email should be attractive so that visitor encourage to ream the mail & you can achieve your goal.
