Sales Letters INSIDE Your Actual Emails?

Has anyone ever tried that? I usually send them to a webpage sales letter, but having the email itself be the letter could take off a step - have the Paypal link right their in your email.

    Yes, it can work but you'll have to adjust the sales letter for length and
    make sure it is formatted so it is easy to read--lots of white space and
    bullet points ect.

    Call me old school, but I would never click on a paypal link coming from an email unless it's a personal email or something like that, but from a marketer no not a chance. Imo you should not try to sell something through your email, let the sales page do that.

      And the fact that you are getting people 'used' to Clicking on links can be beneficial for future purposes

    it is just as easy to put a link to the sales page in the email.

    You can make it work as Raydal pointed it out.

    However, you should expect sales to take a dive, for a simple reason no email will ever perform as good as sales letter can.

    I agree with everyone. Part of the problem with long emails is that people check in usually with a non buying mindset. I use email to uplift and inspire my subscribers. I use articles and blog post to drive them to sales letters. I have had more success with this than just pushing sales in the email.

    Take them away from the email with a pre-framed/qualified link where they can come back to it if it resonates with them.

    I suggest you convert your sales page into multiple emails. In each email, talk about 1 benefit and then send them to your main sales page.

    There are 2 reasons it'd not a good idea to have your sales page in the email.

    First, no one will buY tHrougH a an email because they are not used to it,

    Second, no one will read a long email - especially over 500 words...again, because we are used to short emails,

      All excellent points, but...things do change! True, people are not used to it...yet.

      And it isn't always profitable to be the first -- to pioneer something, but when it works that is the BEST thing to be! And if you can do it, and then modify & test fairly inexpensively...you may be able to scale up to a huge winner here especially with the advice already given.

      As for nobody reading a long email, well... true to a point. It's like long copy -- if they DO read it, they're interested and may purchase.

      Reminds me of when I worked at a car dealership. Not too many customers came out during the rain (I'm in California), but the ones that DID...? Strong buyer intent -- and usually drove home in their new purchase.

      Sounds like a good thought process you've got going, and definitely some good feedback here

    Take a look at the AppSumo emails, they pretty much perfected the art of using emails as a sales letter and then directing you to a product purchase page, which is similar to a store checkout page.

    Sure, it can be done. Just keep in mind (if you use HTML emails) that many clients will not display HTML messages, or HTML messages may be disabled by a user.

    Plain text is safe though.
