its conversion rate is 13.5% !!

I really don't know what's the problem, i think the design is great, graphics etc... WHAT'S WRONG? i'm gonna lose my mind
#email marketing #page #squeeze #wrong
  • I'm honestly surprised you got 13.5%.

    1. The graphic itself is blurry, on my screen anyway.

    2. Why use a graphic at all? You should be using text, both for UX/SEO purposes as well as good design.

    3. It just looks like a scam. My first instinct when visiting that page is NOT to give you my email, who knows what you might do with it!

Take a look at some of the template Instapage or Leadpages offers, and try and make one like those.

    • Hey there here is what I think:-

      1. An image of the report or pdf will go down well people like visual stuff or a video showing the report.
      2. Improve your title you need to add more benefits and the customer is going to think about "whats in it for them" The hook/title will improve your opt in rate.
      3. Where are your trust images or at least a copyright/privacy policy or disclaimer?
  • My take is this:

    - change your headline....it doesn't tell me what benefit your ebook can give.

    - change your bullets. Too vague..,be specific

    - remove the side opt in and just have a headline with opt in below
    - if u want a side bar for your opt in box, have an image of the ebook

When it comes to squeeze page, less it more...
  • It looks good, I would do it differently but I see stuff like that all the time form people who are big timers. My guess is your traffic just isn't that targeted, or people just don't care too much about your offer. 7 muscle building secrets.... people can just go to google and type 'how to build muscle' and find a million secrets.

Maybe think of a way to make the same offer sound more enticing.

Push people's buttons. What are the benefits of building muscle? I know one would be more women. Sell on the benefits of having big muscles like

"Discover 7 muscle building techniques that will get you more women and more respect than you've ever experienced in your life. These methods aren't being taught anywhere else, enter your e-mail below if you're serious about finally having the life you want."

Not saying to use that, just giving you an idea of what I'm talking about, definitely put more thought into what you do.

There's a reason why these guys want bigger muscles. Sell them on that.

Want bigger muscles get my muscle tips! .....NO

Want women, respect, acceptance, success, health, and a top notch lifestyle? Then get my 7 tips on muscle gain.

    Get it?

Find the reason they want bigger muscles, and sell them on THAT.

Want THIS? Then you need my 7 tips, enter your e-mail get it now.

  • Hello, you should use Instabuilder, and build pro type landing pages squeeze page, then you can see your conversion go up,
    • [1] reply
    • This is built by InstaBuilder
  • Hi Ahmed,

My biggest recommendation would be to get rid of the 'free, free, free' red circle in the top right-hand corner and replace it with an ecover of your report.
  • ...did not read all comments but you should consider having a stock image of a model with muscles, since that is what you are promoting. May be an e cover on the right side would be good as well.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Always do split testing to know what works and what doesn't work.
well make a strong call to action and give a reason to make people optin.

in my opinion its better when you create two of them and test, test, test
Now you have different answers from people so start a campaign and with two landing pages and see which has High CTR then remove the bad one and keep the best
  • [DELETED]
  • Imho nothing wrong with the design. But never forget to do testing.

I have same design squeeze page (also built on InstaBuilder) pulling 42% conversion rate. Which initially started at 9% with another design and another wording.

What I am basically saying, test different designs and leave the one that works best for your niche. Same goes for the headline, text and calls for action.

Only testing will actually give you the answers you're looking for.
  • Try capitalizing on your hook. Create a more desirable headline. Try adding FREE in your button and headline. The word FREE is very powerful. - Change "We'll never share, rent, sell your information." to "The FREE gift will be sent to the email address you provide above". Should reduce fake emails people provide. Massive tips here..
  • You stated that you are getting 13.5 % optin. Where are you getting your leads from? It might be the audience you are targeting.
  • Ahmed --

I'm just seeing this thread now, and I can tell from the comments & suggestions here that you've already modified your page. Looks good!

As you've been advised, test and test some more. Oh, and while I'm thinking about it... you might wanna run a test.

I'd actually make the current graphic even bigger (given your market -- more visually-oriented?), and also change the sub-heading to something more benefit-driven (like someone suggested about the women -- GREAT advice, as an example)

So instead of "...That Will Maximize You Gains" (which honestly kinda falls flat for me), have it read something with a powerful benefit similar to, "The 5 Best Foods For Muscle-Building... That will Make The Ladies Wonder Where The HELL You've Been Hiding!!"

Other than that, what are your new stats lately -- can you share?

  • Hello AhmedF

I have come in late as well, but I'll give you a woman's opinion, as well as a Marketer's.

First as a woman. Actually make that from 16 women, cause I just showed your squeeze page to all the girls working on shift here. We all have the same opinion.

    YUCK!

Thats not a comment on your squeeze page in general, it is on the over muscled Guy used on the cover of your report. Why in heavens name do some Guys want to look like that, it isn't attractive at all to most women.

Now my comments as a Marketer. I guess you are trying to build a list to sell related affiliate products - one small part of our Business is Affiliate Marketing, but we do generate around US$3 Million a year in affiliate commissions, so we do know a bit bout the subject.

So, is your target market Guys that want to look like the Hulk, except possibly not be green in colour???

I would say the majority of Guys would not want to look like that, an that in itself would put a lot off from clicking any further.

I would change the cover image to one of a more normal attractive looking Guy, certainly one with well defined muscles, but an image that the average Guy might aspire to, not so over the top an so absolutely GROSS.

I also agree with one comment that you are not giving any bullet point specific advantages.

I very much disagree with another comment that squeeze pages should be text only an not show graphics. ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE!

People respond to images an photos more than they respond to text. That is the reason you won't find any text only Magazines, Newspapers, TV Advertisements an so on.

Our squeeze pages are very graphical, to give an example, one for a music related site (for Bands an Singers) is based on a Poster that could be used for a Music Festival or for a major Bands performance in some city.

If we were promoting say something relating to motor cycles, our squeeze page would be SHOUTING motor cycles. Think of the cover used on a Motor Cycle Magazine, it is the cover image that attracts the attention to even pick up an browse through that Magazine. We would want our squeeze page to be equally attracting the prospect to what we are offering, an even more so, since our offering is site unseen at that point, they can't browse through it until they first give us their information.

We originally pinched the idea from old Circus Posters. Their main purpose was to wet the appetite of what people could expect from attending the show, like a mini preview of the delights that were in store for them.

So what is a squeeze page supposed to be doing? Isn't it supposed to be wetting the appetite of what they are going to be getting after they click an leave their name an email details? An why are you not asking for their name's in your squeeze page? Without having their name the best you can address them in follow up mailings is "Hey You" !!!!

You said your squeeze page was giving you bout 13.5% conversion. Our squeeze pages give more like 85% conversions. Still room for improvement but I think we are doing something right.

I know our idea's are different to most, but hope they might help.

An any Guys reading this, how many of you would like to look like the Hulk in that photo???. Be interesting to see some answers from you Guys.

    Cheers

    Lindy

  • I think the new one is an improvement, but in my opinion (that's not backed up by testing data at all, so take it with a grain of salt), you might want to include more benefits. You tell me what's in the report, but there aren't really any benefits. Why is it worth giving you my email? Are these foods going to be something that's obvious and going to make me feel dumb when I download? Or are these "5 unexpected foods that build muscle fast" (something like that)?

Just some thoughts on the new one. Good luck!
  • Nice improvement! Good for you using InstaBuilder too. I'm a fan of that tool.

Just keep in mind on squeeze pages that people want to know:

    - WHAT are you offering to me? What EXACTLY am I going to get if I give you my email?
    - Can I trust you with my email or is this just a scam?

Explain what you're offering concisely without being wordy. Use pictures and images, but make sure they're high quality. Blurry, low quality images tend to put people off.
  • Your offer seems out of focus. I suggest moving the text more to the left. Maybe putting the image above the copy, moving copy over to the left and moving the opt-in to the right.
  • Man!... that is not bad conversions!

    It is actually alright.

But if you want to increase it - there are two things you should do.

1 - Split Test and Track Everything
2 - Analyze your Traffic Sources

Remember, your conversion rates also depend a lot on the type of traffic you are getting.

The numbers will vary according to how targeted your traffic is. So you need to pay close attention to your traffic as well.

To me, your squeeze page looks alright. What I would do first, is check the quality of the traffic. Increasing the quality of the traffic alone, might give you higher conversion rates!

  • 1. Get rid of the yellow highlight text
    2. Provide more specific benefits. "maximize your gains" doesn't say much - instead say something like 10% more muscle gain or 50% faster fat loss
    3. Make sure your targeting is on, a low CR could mean you're sending the wrong traffic
    4. Get some testimonials for social proof
    5. Think about putting some trust badges and other authority building elements
  • I can't access your page, idk why..
  • Thanks to everyone who has replied here, you made this thread more informative
