Advice Needed for Free List Building Options

I'm wanting to build a list only... not manage or send emails yet. I guess I'm looking for a free autoresponder service that will manage the optin part, deliver the free bonus, and record the list? After I've grown the list, I can choose a service for communication like an AWeber, Get Response etc.

I don't want to commit to $$ until I have a list to begin with. Any ideas/experiences?

    I think that mailchip gives you free option up to certain number of subscribers.

    Go for mail chimp. But dont wait till you have a certain number of subscribers. Start emailing immediately. Otherwise, they will forget who you are by the time you start mailing.

    Autoresponder is a must tool for any list building effort. For free one, you can go for mailchimp.
