Auto-responder List Import

Hi everyone! I've a legitimate 40k list of subscribers in the affiliate marketing niche which I like to import into a reliable auto-responder with good deliverability. Which auto-responders do you recommend that will be easy to use?

With a list above 10k you're likely going to need to have support review your request to import. Both Getresponse and Aweber allow you to import opt-in subscribers and allow you to do this yourself for smaller lists, but you will not be able to import 40K without their intervention. You could either sign up for a free trial and contact their support to see what you are able to do or you could just contact them ahead of time and tell them you want to import 40k and see what their requirements are.

I would think you would have to acquire permission again since you are going to be contacting them from a new location. Subscribers you are contacting via Aweber have not agreed to hear from you via Get Response, for example. I think you will have to attain permission again from your list, which will inevitably lead to many people not subscribing a second time.

I am using GetResponse as my autoresponder. It is user-friendly platform and has very responsive customer support. When I have a problem or question to ask, they reply in timely manner.

I like both Aweber & GetResponse, and I believe that Aweber just loosened their policy on importing in that if they approve your list you no longer have to send out the confirmation email to see who will respond. I'm pretty sure they will go through your list with a fine-toothed comb before they allow you to import it, though. I think both companies will.

My suggestion would be to email your list and let them know that you are switching services so that they will know to expect emails from a different AR and so they will also know what happened and not just assume that you have sold your list to another marketer.

Also, make sure you clean your list very well before submitting it for review. Lists in the "Affiliate Marketing/IM/Biz Opp/Make Money Online" niches are generally perceived to be of somewhat lower quality than other niches and so they are scrutinized very thoroughly. There are plenty of good software apps available to help you clean your list. I use one called List Cleaner Jeet. It's a Windows desktop software that will remove duplicate email addresses, improperly formatted addresses, spam traps, and emails that hard bounce. However, as I said there are many services out there that will do this for you. Some may even be free.

IMO, you might just be better off to send your current list an email and let them know to be looking out for a confirmation email that will allow them to stay on your list. I would then opt to have the confirmation email sent out when you go to import your list into your new AR. The reason for this is to weed out a lot of people who are dead weight from your list. After all, why would you want people on your list that are completely unresponsive and probably don't even remember they are on your list and don't care to be on it anyway? No matter how responsive a list is, there's always dead weight in the form of fake email addresses, subs who quit IM, freebie seekers, tire kickers, people too lazy to hit the "unsubscribe" link, etc.

I guess a lot of it all depends on how you have treated your list in the past. If you have been really good to them then there may be no need to send out a new confirmation email. No matter what, though, I would definitely make sure to make your list aware that you are switching over and also clean your list before submitting it for review.

If it's a clean, responsive list and you have a good relationship with your subscribers then I don't foresee any issues with switching over. Please let us know how it all works out for you. I would be interested to see how the process goes for you in case I ever have to do it myself in the future.

you can use mailchimp, mandrill, amazon SES, getresponse.
if you have a proof (landing page or website) from where you have collected this list, then only they will allow you to use their service.

if you don't have proof or you have bought this list from third party, then you should try your own SMTP server. it will be the best solution for you. No restriction for mailing and very low in price.
