How did you add your GetResponse webforms to your Wordpress website?

You would think GetResponse would have a video tutorial showing how to add their webform to your website, but they don't seem to. I find that shocking since they're such a popular autoresponder - makes me wonder how people figure that part out.

I contacted them about it, and they just sent me to this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/getresponse-integration/

But, as you can see, it doesn't have a very good rating. And it apparently doesn't always work for everybody either, you just have to try it and see. I'm not even sure if it will do what I want it to do. I want a form in the sidebar of my website that will show on my homepage, and all of my post pages. I also want a horizontal form at the bottom of my posts, and one on my squeeze page.

Just wondering how you do that for those of you who use Getresponse on a Wordpress website. Did you use this plugin, or is there a better way to do it? There is also another post on this forum that said that people who use adblockers may not see your webforms if you inserted them with a plugin because it can block the forms.

If thats not what you're looking for, keep searching youtube, you will eventually find one about what you are asking. What you are asking is pretty simple and the videos above should help you out.

I have watched a few Youtube video in my search for how to do this, and one source said that you don't want to use javascript code for Wordpress websites and should therefore go with the html code. Another source says to use the javascript.

While Getresponse says not to use either for Wordpress websites - they recommend the plugin I linked to which doesn't look to popular to me judging by the ratings. Which I was surprised by since Getresponse and Wordpress are both very popular. You would think it would have better ratings unless nobodies using it.

With Getresponse and Wordpress both being as popular as they are, I really don't understand how there isn't more people as confused as I am about how to set up the webforms properly.

I don't understand how Getresponse haven't by now come up with a better way for their Wordpress using customers to get their webforms set up. Instead they're basically telling me, "hey, try this poorly rated plugin that will get blocked by adblockers a try, it might work for you. It's actually for default wordpress websites, but maybe it will work". Like really?

I want to like Getresponse, I really do, the prices seem much better than their competitors. But, I guess I expect more from a popular company that's been around for a while, that people are always recommending. I think they should have come up with a better way to get these webforms installed on wordpress websites, and they should have an easy to follow video tutorial showing how to do it. I don't think that's asking for too much.

Anyway, enough venting. I know there has to be other people on this forum that use Getresponse webforms with Wordpress websites. Please share how you did it and if it's working for you.

    Thanks

      Hi there,

Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with this.

Regarding the GetResponse WordPress plug-in, we really do hope that this could be an option for you to place the form on your site -- though of course if you are not working within a default template, this could cause issues.

And we know that working with the Java and HTML codes yourself with the form could also cause some issues, but our Support team can definitely help you out with some options. There's an option of using the shortcode from the plug-in that our team could help you out with. They're available 24/7 via support.getresponse.com, or could give them a call 1-877-362-4547 9-5 EST.

We do want to help you find a solution that works for you, and again very sorry to hear of your trouble.

      Best,
