I am currently sending monthly newsletter to my mailing list for quite some time now but I've come to realize that I am not measuring the success right.

I am using url builder to track clicks on my newsletter campaigns, however I don't think that clicks on it are not enough?

I've been offering promotions like for example availing birthday promo (which is done in a monthly basis), I'm getting clicks on it from my newsletter but I am still unsure if my recipients claim this type of offer?

I need to dig deeper if my promotions are effective, but how can I do that? How will I know if the conversion/goal is a success or comes from the newsletter campaign?? Same promo can also be found on the homepage of my site.

    Change the Promo in the newsletter, also the reported stats from tracking URL's not really a true measure of success. I used to own a retail store that sold pet food, I sent out newsletters with clip-able coupons. My open and click rates were horrible, but man did people come in the store with those coupons in hand.
