How to make more money from your current list?

Most people are worried about driving more traffic and getting more leads to increase the size of their existing list. But in order to earn more money from your list you do not need to increase the number of subscribers but you want quality customers in your list.
For this you must know your target audience, who is your perfect customers, what are his or her deep needs and wants and try to fulfill them to earn more profits.
Who are your perfect customers?
What is their gender?
what are their interests?
What they do for fun?
And so forth. The more you investigate in depth who they are and what they want and how to eliminate their problem the more successful you are likely to be as an email marketer.
What are the ways to attract your perfect customers. Any suggestions?

      A survey form towards your customer might be helpful for you to know and engage in depth with your list.

      Maybe this way you can analyse their interests about yourself, your site or your products.

    To make more money from your list you can:

    - Make your emails more entertaining/interesting with good subject lines so your list will open them in the first place.

    - Send emails where you link to a video blog where you discuss something useful to them (video builds trust like crazy, and will massively increase your conversions).

    - Do webinars occasionally as they can convert visitors to sales better than anything else out there (do some research on the conversion rates top webinars get).

    - Check out BenSettle.com as he knows how to make lots of sales from your list (subscribe to his email list and note what kind of emails he sends).

    There is definitely some Truth to what you say. However, the bolded part I might disagree with. You need to build quality Leads and do it infinitely if you want to continue bringing the Cash Flow in.

    That's just List Building 101, imho

    But the rest of what you say is really good stuff

    Your list bait should tell you all you need to know. If you are building a list for "Weightloss after Pregnancy" and you provide a free report to your new subscribers that is about weightloss after pregnancy, then you should have all the information you need to promote to this list.

    Although i agree that having a quality subscriber list is important to making more money, you can also make more money with your list by using all of these three list monetization methods.
    1. Monetizing the "Thank you page with your affiliate offer" usually a CPA
    2. Send broadcasts to your list now and again with offers (careful not to over do it as you will loose some subscribers)
    3. Monetize some of your auto-responder messages with your affiliate links.

    for me personally its youtube. theres great targetting there. you can provide value & those who come to youtube are LOOKING for an answer. social media people are mostly just hanging out tho it can be utilized i have gained most of my business from youtube, a little from facebook. youtube is great too if you can provide consistent videos google & youtube will like you more. your videos will get more traffic & in due time you will get more customers

    Targeted traffic is always necessary. So many times you can find cheap advertising but that is because they are showing everyone.

    If you have a generic ad out there that is on snowblowers you get to pay on views - even if the reader is someone living in apartments in downtown LA.

    The ads you need to do, to get your best results and the "perfect" customer needs to be driven to the right people. The ads will cost more - but it is worth it, when you can get 90% more sales from it.

    Two very important parts of getting the most out of your list are
    1 Mail to your suscriber as soon as He joins the list and mail to him everyday. Otherwise the suscriber might forget when or where they joined your list and then simply mark your mailing as Spam or worse Hit UNSUSCRIBE and you lost them for good

    2 that is why it is so important to have setup an autoresponder series so no matter where you are where you are when you have a sign up or if you are on vacation Your suscriber is hearing from you everyday and getting your message

    Everyones different man. For me its youtube. And, the way i do it is creating targeted videos going out to a specific audience to build a specific following for a specific reason.

    Specificity is the key!

    Either platform you choose man focus on it & DOMINATE. immerse yourself to the point where you're in that top 5% that attains all the success.

    Yes, you want a quality list but most people miss this point:

    You MUST bring in new and fresh leads onto your list every single day to be successful.

    Most affiliates just get a few hundreds of subscribers and then stop and then they bombard their list with offer after offer after offer.

    So the KEY here is:

    You have to give them value and get 10-20-30-40 or more NEW subscribers every day to do well.
