How i lost 1224 subscribers...(anyone can do it)

Well, it was simple and easy (if you want to build a list of 1224 subscriber, then lose them ).

I did all the hard work, created a quality report, made a good squeeze page, bought traffic....

And every day for two weeks, i opened my email box and i saw "subscriber notifications" from my autoresponder. (Yeah, it's a good feeling )

But, yes there is a BUT. After a couple of months, i sent my double opt-in list an email, and i only got 4% open rate and a lot of people reported my email as a SPAM.

Yes, my mistake was that i didn't build Trust with my subscribers, i didn't send them a single email after they signed up and downloaded the report.

So my advice to you, if you don't want to lose money, time and your subscribers trust.

Set up some good follow-up emails.

    Engagement is the key. Your funnel should have introduction < engagement < sales < re-engagement. The people that you can not re-engage after your given time you can (A) move them to another list or (B) Delete them.

    Short term that sucks but long term it was a good choice now your emails will still hit the inbox. You should set up a engagement series that is automatically sent out. I send my list a email every three days or so. Then I just segmented them out according to the interest.
