Why don't you look over your lead magnets and see which one has the most conversions and learn from it?

I'm not a good writer either but over time, I develop a skill that I didn't think I'm capable of. Find the top marketers and their lead magnets and learn from it. That's how I did it.

Once you begin to grasp the concept of a lead magnet and how to write it, you will be in control of it.

Are you referring to a Lead Magnet or a Sales funnel because you mentioned two different things in your post. The lead magnet is what you give in exchange for the visitors email and it is part of the entire sales funnel.

If you are talking about how to get the lead magnet, if you cannot create your own be it ebook or video, then you might consider buying a PLR product with a giveaway rights. Due to the fact, that it is PLR, every other person might have purchased the same PLR. To be different from other persons, you need to re write the PLR to make it unique and also to add your personality to it. It is not difficult rewriting, just take your time and do it the at the paragraph level.

If you have the cash, some funnels are pre sold. All you need to do is purchase and upload the elements.

What you can also do is to replicate what is working for others.

For someone to be running paid ads to a funnel for sometime means that the funnel has been tested and has converting for the owner hence, it would have been discontinued.

What you can do is to optin to see that kind of bait that is used and also to see the type of funnel that is place. With these you can idea of what is working for this person so that you can replicate ( You need to do a little tweaking also to customize and adapt).

Hope you know that, you will need some tools and basic knowledge in hooking up the elements of a funnel together.

You can always get plr content that comes with a squeeze page, thank you page, the report, follow up emails, and sometimes a main product to sell.

A lead magnet does not have to be a written ebook. Does your market need a list of resources? What about a mind map? What would benefit your subscribers besides an ebook?

Free, Cheap and "Good Value" do not go together. This is one of the most important assets in your email marketing efforts. You need to invest in this as well as the email follow up sequence. If you can not afford the quality now or can not write it yourself then you might be better served waiting.

You want quality for free and it must be proven to convert right? Guess what, nobody is going to give it to you. Just write the lead magnet yourself and hire a few proofreaders for grammar and fluency.
Don't be lazy, just do it.

One way to bypass the lead magnet is to create a contest/giveaway. If you announce the winners through emails you can get a pretty good open rate at least at the beginning. Later you can also announce the winners on Facebook. Also you can impose different conditions like liking, sharing etc.
