    1. Create a free video, eBook, report, etc. You want to entice people to opt-in to your mailing list.

    2. Get yourself an autoresponder. Aweber is good but use Mailchimp so you don't have to pay a monthly fee until you start getting subscribers (people on your mailing list are called subscribers just in case you weren't aware)

    3. Create a squeeze page, thank you page, product page, product thank you page. You want to create a product and get people on a separate list when they buy your product. This list will be called your buyer's list. Once the person has made their purchase, your thank you page should have an opt-in form so they have to subscribe to the buyer's list in order to get access to their product.

    4. Payment service. Paypal is a really popular one. Make sure when you create your product and have them make their payment, the success page will be your product thank you page.

    5. Blogging is a good way to get traffic to your squeeze page and you can also put opt-in forms in strategic places so people can opt-in directly to your blog. The blog should be very informative, but at the same time direct them to your opt-in form or squeeze page.

Here are the things you might want to do:

    1. Write your blog post and share it with people who are interested. This is called targeting your audience. You can do this on social media, and if allowed, forums. On forums, write a lot of tips and threads with a lot of content value so people can direct their attention to your signature box. If you write a great thread, you may see traffic come from that specific thread. This traffic converts into subscribers for your mailing list really well.

    2. Once people opt-in to your mailing list, send them a 30-day series of emails. This should give a solution to a problem. When they joined your mailing list, you said you were going to help them solve a problem. Keep your word. Don't promote your product until the 31st email. It could be the next day after the 30th email or a few days later. The email series should also build up suspense for your product you're going to promote.

    3. Once you start getting customers, you can promote affiliate products, but make sure they benefit your audience, don't promote it because it has a high payout. A good technique is to promote only products that supplement your product. For example if your product is about getting six-pack abs, promote products that have delicious recipes that help burn fat, but keep you satiated and full.

This is a very simple process but when you start getting subs, you'll see the conversion rate for buying your product and affiliate offers will probably be about 10% or more.

    I hope this helps.

It is important for you to know that there are actually two distinct types of list depending on how they joined your list:

      1. General subscribers list
      2. Customers (Buyers) list

The general subscriber list is the list made up of freebie seekers. They gave you their emails in exchange for a freebie while the Customers list is made up people who have made a purchase from you.

I am not implying that the general subscriber list isn't important. It is because you need to have a list of prospects for the possibility of them buying from you. People start to get to know you and you need to build rapport to gain their trust. So you need general subscribers.

      The differences are.

A prospect who has never bought from you will need a lot of urging before he or she decides to purchase . But a familiar customer whom you built rapport with is already trusts your products and will be more inclined to shop

A buyers list may be smaller than a general subscribers list. However it is not that marketers make more money from a smaller list than from a huge list. The reason lies in the next point.

You can count on your customer list not to be freebie seekers at all. They are somewhat a better class of subscribers or better class of leads. They have been proven to spend; they have no problems buying from anyone.

When someone on your general subscriber list broke the jinx and eventually make a purchase, then that subscriber can be moved from the general subscriber list to the customer list. This can be automated once the automation rule is set within your autoresponder.

On the other hand, these freebie seekers can be useful for:

You can direct the freebie seekers to a place where you can make some money from them, even without trying to sell anything them. They are source of instant traffic on demand.

      Hope this helps

When an individual visits your website and thinks of subscribing to your mailing list with the goal to keep in touch with you through email, it is known as email marketing.
