hey there
so as you know i'm willing to start my email campaign soon .
i'm a bit skeptical with the first email thats going to be attached with a free offer .
the thing is that i'm not sure if i should add anything else beside the offer and ''thank you sign up " paragraph ,.. am i supposed to ask them for their needs and their problems from the first time?or should i just wait till the next message or the one after it ?.. i'm just afraid that everyone will subscribe once they get their free offer .
what do u think ?
thank you

You need to slowly build a relationship with them. Just thank them and let them know a little about what you will be sending them next. Get them interested and excited about what is to come. This way they will start looking forward to your emails. Then slowly work in any marketing. Recommend products, tell them how such and such product solved a problem you had.etc..

so speaking about the call to action email , it 's much better if the email is more like a recommendation than to insistently encouraging them to purchase it? right?
thank you so much for your answer .

Relationship building is key to getting their trust, which is imperative for long term success and sustainability with any business, service or product. First email I like giving them a free download or something that shows who I am and what I am about. They have to like you and your brand to buy from you. Then some story telling about myself and why I am qualified to help them - then throw in a FREE OR LOW COST offer. Either works usually depending what you are selling. Weekly emails and followups with them is sooo important even if you aren't currently selling or giving them anything. Just act like you are having a conversation with them and throw in some tips or other resources etc. Does that help?

  • Hey there,

They are right, building a relationship with your list is key to longevity. But how do you do that? The first step is deeply understanding who you are emailing. You can't possibly know what to say to them if you don't know how to appeal to them.

This is not a simple process where you just choose a demographic and kinda guess what type of person they are, you really have to envision what they want to hear and what information you know they need to hear.

Most marketers ignore this technique but start by doing an empathy map. Really envision who you want to speak to and it will be easier to tailor a message for that audience. Go look up empathy maps and this should get you going in the right direction.

Remember that these are actual people, whatever you do just be genuine and authentic with your message.

As long as you have your client's/customer's best interest in mind, you should have nothing to worry about.

I have a lot more information on this, contact me if you would like to hear more.
