How to perform a successful email marketing campaign?

Hi, I have a small database of companies emails (about 1000 or so). They are not personal accounts, but the main addresses of those companies, mainly from USA and UK. I have never performed any email marketing and I don't know how to start, what do you recommend me? Is is legal to send them unwanted information? Can be it considered as spam and get my sited banned or affected in SEO? Are there some common mistakes?
Thanks

  • There is no such rules for email compaigning you can use companies emails if your offer is relevent to them.

To Start Email marking, you need to offer amazing discounts, freebies through your squeeze/landing pages on your webpage. By creating a landing page you can capture leads by and sharing discounts, offers, videos, you are helping a user to understand your brand / nature of business.

Please include these points step by step:

*Learn basics of email marketing on YouTube (there are lot of tutorial available on YouTube).
*Get a free starter account at MailChimp.
*Create a Series of an Autoresponder.
*Show your creativity to name an Eye catching subject line.
*Write very interesting and useful content.
*Be aware which type of audience you are engaging in content.
*Build traffic to the squeeze/landing page by Facebook FanPage, posting on forums etc.
*Don't forgot to give opt-out/unsubscribe option in the email.
    *Offer third party sharing security.
*Do not send emails too frequently to prevent emails from going to spam.

If these leads haven't technically opted-in to a lead capture page you own and into your own autoresponder, it's considered spam if you're emailing folks who haven't asked to hear from you.

If you're going to email these people anyway, you want to make sure you setup your funnel. By that I mean a landing page or lead capture page and craft a strong cold email you're going to send to them with a good call-to-action. You'll also want to lead your autoresponder with some follow-up emails.

If they aren't your leads as defined above, you don't want to treat them as your personal list. So what do you do? You come up with a really good cold email to send them with a call-to-action that leads them to a lead capture page. This way, if they opt-in from THAT page, now they really are your lead and you can market to them over and over.

    The important things are:

    1. Crafting a great cold email with a strong call-to-action... in this case, clicking said link to learn more about whatever it is you're trying to promote.

    2. Sending them to a well done capture page with a good lead magnet (the free offer you're giving away in exchange for them giving you their email address)

    3. Last, but not least, you'll need to create some follow-up emails to load your autoresponder with so they begin receiving follow-up emails from you after they opt-in. These emails should build a relationship with your prospect, trust AND educate them on whatever you're selling.

    Hope this helps
