Using Getresponse - all emails go to spam folder (gmail)

Hi there,

I've been trying to get into email marketing lately, so I registered into getresponse and leadpages and built my own email followup messages.

But when I test it on gmail, I found out that almost every email I sent gets to the spam folder. Total waste of a subscriber.

When I subscribe to other email lists, I find out the email I receive never go into the spam folder. Whats going on here?

Any advice on how to avoid the gmail spam folder?

Thanks,
Erik

  • Have you set SPF and DKIM records to your domain?

    Hi Erik,

Very sorry to hear this has been your experience.

Our dedicated deliverability team has double checked our standings with Gmail, and can definitely confirm that we don't have any general issues sending to Gmail. Our Deliverability rate to gmail addresses is very good.

It is possible that may be filtering out due to the particular domain it is noticing, or general content. Our team would be more than happy if you'd like to send me a private message with your account's email address to have a look in your account and give you some specific help and feedback to improve your delivery to Gmail.

    Best,

Test the email with plain text and no links and see what happens. Do you get a spam score for your emails? Not sure if GetResponse has this feature.

I have been emailing with Aweber, Mailchimp and my own servers for a long time.

Gmail is doing 2 new things...

    1. Improved greylisting... they bounce it and your email server resends it then it is accepted.. However, services like aweber and getresponse DO NOT resend... thus are not delivered to gmail users. Solution: run your own dedicated servers.

    2. Better filtering from inbox to promotions folder.

It's not GetResponse, it's Google. Just like the Penguin Update, a new update came out about 2 months ago that royally F***s email marketers.

Now you can stop speculating and pointing fingers retardedly.

Google's goal is for ONLY personal email to enter inbox. Period.

I was googling the topic to see if anyone had any success beating the wall they put up and I found this forum, so hello world.

How do you run your own dedicated servers?

    Do a test:

Go to Aweber and signup for a free account, add your list or a sample (10%,20%...) and use the same copy you are using at mailchimp and compare the results.

I am saying this because it happened to my with Mailchimp and Sendy.co, my emails were going to spam all the time.

Switching to Aweber solved my problem.

Their is no problem with any of the platforms you need to register a cheap domain on Namechimp with a private email. then use the private email in any of the platforms as the sender. if you continue using a free email email they will stay in spam 4ever
