  • Split testing your opt-in sequence will make a world of difference.

There are no hard rules for what will work best. Each site has a different target audience, and each audience will respond differently to various calls to action.

I split test as many things as I can. The basics, like what type of opt-in box works, is a good place to start. You can test pop-over light boxes (ones that appear immediately, ones that pop up after 15 seconds, etc.), in-content opt-in fields, sidebars, and so on. The best result will usually come from a combination of boxes.

Then the offer. Does a 7 day free email course convert best, or do rates go up when you put the course in a PDF and offer it as an instant download? What headline works best? Do images in the box help or hurt?

Does a dedicated squeeze page with a video presentation convert better than showing opt-ins while users are already digesting content?

You get the idea. Keep split testing and you'll get more and more subscribers than before.

Of course, you need traffic before you can get any subscribers. If your site is new, start there. Make engaging content, target keywords, and promote your content where your target audience hangs out. From there, you can start getting subscribers.

  • The question is from where you generate traffic and how much targeted is that traffic and then the squeeze page and what you offer. A good offer can cause a good conversion on your squeeze page.

Find a PLR course on dating, or hire someone to write it for you. Then offer it as a free download in exchange for an email address or facebook optin.
  • With Facebook advertising you can get very targeted visitors, subscribers. It's very effective. I can only recommend to use.

    • 1.Bring targetted traffic to your site by using long tail keywords from search engine.
2.Do guest blogging with a call to action link.
      3.Use facebook ad.
      4.Most importantly create quality content.
5.Offer something free away gift or ebook.
      Best of luck.....

  • What about forum commenting on targeted thread's. I think it's good way to obtain new subscribers to post usefull posts and have your link of squeeze page at signature.

    • Yes, it can be good. But most people have a hard time providing good discussion and replies when it comes to this.

  • Offer them something of value (such as an ebook, or guide or something along those lines)
  • Thanks for tips... I guess I have to rephrase my question, actually I have squeeze page to download free report.... I guess question should be "How to drive tragetted traffic to squeeze page" May I have to start a new thread with correct question.

    • There are a lot of ways to do this:

      *solo ads
      *kindle marketing
*content marketing like guest posting, infographics
      *video marketing also works
*social media marketing such as FB ads
  • Yea, Facebook could be very effective in this. Try out other method such as solo ads as well if your budget allows.

    • You know any reliable solo ads provider for this niche? Thanks
  • I get a lot of subscribers from Kindle Books actually

  • It considered that the best way to drive targeted traffic to a squeeze page is through content marketing. Here are also some other proven ways: blogging; video marketing; guest posting; forum marketing; collaborating with a super affiliate; PPC advertising.
  • I've had most of my luck simply with either Facebook ads, solo ads or with setting up WSOs
  • Here's an unconventional idea for you...

    1. Write down a list of things your target audience care about (along with keywords for those things)
    2. Use Buzzsumo or an alternative to find the most shared content historically around those subjects
    3. Take those artices, videos or whatever the content is and add them into sniply (a tool that adds a popup to whatever page you like, even if its not yours)
    4. Take all your sniply content links and stock them into your bufferapp and queue them across all your social accounts

If you make your sniply popup simply be a free offer that should onboard a few people in your given field.

Would love to hear some thoughts.

  • Try using social media to increase your traffic. It would be better if you target females since your niche is dating tips for females. Once you have increased your visitors, the number of your subscribers will follow.
  • Paid Facebook advertising is great. (As long as you have a clear idea who your avatar is, so you can target efficiently.)

But please be aware, the word paid is crucial here. Trying to get clients like most business owners do on Facebook (i.e. almost begging people to buy from them, or worse, just trying to get page "likes") is something you want to stay well clear of.

    Why?

    Two reasons:

First, there's a lot of "noise" on Facebook. Your aim should be to get people off there asap and direct them to your landing/squeeze page. There, you need to be offering an "ethical bribe" that is relevant to your market which entices them to subscribe to your list.

It's much easier to do this with paid advertising compared to trying to do it for free. I don't necessarily know why. Just from my own personal experience, and from the experiences of my clients, this seems to be the case.

The second reason that paid advertising beats free advertising on Facebook, is that when you're on there "hustling" for leads and sales, it will most likely take up hours and hours of your time. Time that could be far better spent on doing something more productive to really grow your business.

Check out Dan Kennedy's "No BS Time Management for Entrepreneurs" book to get a good idea about what your time's worth to you.

So I definitely recommend paid Facebook advertising.

But of course, what I recommend is irrelevant until you test everything out.

    Just my two cents.
