How to follow up new imported contacts

Sometime we import emails of those who not opted in, but added to the list or autoresponders by importing

How to follow up those imported contacts, what to write them for first few emails not to get spam complaints

Note: I know it's risky and sending emails to opted in list is the best preactice but yet if anyone have good follow up email suggestion please share with me

  • In your situation, I really like to send a message that is fairly short so they can read it all fast, and also provided them a really good idea. I would stick to time management tip or something like that. Maybe explain how writing down 4 things on a notecard and putting in your pocket made all the difference - forget the electronics and go old school and get way more done. Just something unusual that nobody else is sending. If you don't do a time management tip, then maybe something along the lines of productivity. Very neutral and unlikely to make someone mad. Then you can follow up a few emails with mentioning the previous tip and then add something new.

  • Import fresh / targeted data. That way you know what your messages should be targeting and because it's fresh, it should help reduce the chance of getting complaints.
