Grow Your List - How To Add 30 Subscribers Every Day

If you add 30 subscribers to your email list every day, your list would grow by almost 1,000 people every month. Pretty cool, huh? It is entirely possible to do by using the strategies and tips in this post, but first, a caveat - this is not for everyone!

For a start, even a professional Internet marketer like Pat Flynn couldn't add 30 email subscribers a day to a list in an extremely niche or obscure topic area.

If that's what you work in, you will have to lower your expectations a little. The other problem is resources.

Adding 30 email subscribers to your list every day requires money and time. You can spend more money if you don't have much time and vice versa, but you still need both. This is not a free enterprise.

Of course, you can build an email list without a great deal of money or time, but you will add fewer subscribers per day. If you're okay with that, great! However, if you want to do things quickly (i.e., 30 new subscribers a day), you will need to allocate both time and money.

Here are the strategies/tips.

Harness Your Existing Traffic

You can probably make better use of the traffic that is already coming to your website. Of course, relying on SEO and organic traffic is NOT a strategy for adding 30 subscribers to your email list per day - SEO is too variable and outside of your control. That being said, you might as well optimize the traffic you currently get.

The first step is to identify your top performing pages. You will have to spend some time on each one, so it's probably best to concentrate on the top three pages on your site. This strategy has three steps:

1. Make your top performing pages even better
2. Add a content-specific opt-in offer
3. Optimize your opt-in forms

Start by improving the page. In particular, look at the first paragraph, which is crucial to convince your readers to keep reading. Make sure it's compelling and relatable; the reader should understand from the first paragraph that you understand a problem they're facing, and also have a solution.

Another thing you can improve is readability - would the page benefit from additional or more attention-grabbing subheadings, for example? Do you need to add more bullet point lists, can the paragraphs be broken up to make them shorter, and can the writing be improved?

Once the content is as good as it can be, you should create a content-specific opt-in offer. This applies even if you have a site-wide opt-in offer like an eBook or course. This new offer has to by hyper-targeted to the post in question, and should add real value. It shouldn't take you long to create - you don't have to write a 5,000-word eBook. However, it should be genuinely helpful and new information. As it is content-specific, it will increase the likelihood of the visitor signing up.

Finally, optimize your opt-in forms. You should have multiple forms on the page, including in your sidebar, in the middle of the content (as a text link), at the end of the content, and as a pop-up (whatever anyone says, pop-ups do work).

Harness Your Existing List

The next step is to get the most out of your existing list. This means encouraging your subscribers to forward your emails and share the content. To do this, you first have to make your emails brilliant. Then you should add share and forward buttons.

Create A Killer Landing Page

Next, create a fantastic landing page. It should be distraction-free, meaning that the visitor should only have two options - opt-in or leave. It should then have the following:
  1. A compelling headline
  2. A few paragraphs that expand on the headline and entice the reader
  3. A button with a call to action. The wording should start with "Yes, I want ..."

Guest Post For Additional Traffic

As already mentioned, traffic from organic searches is not enough to build an email list. You therefore need alternative sources. One of the best is guest posting on the top blogs and websites in your niche. You should carry out research to find those blogs, but make sure they accept guest posts and include decent author bios with contributions.

You will need 8-10 target blogs per month. That might seem like a lot, but you should write on other blogs aside from your own, particularly if you're new or relatively unknown.

Once you have a target list of blogs, you should do the following:
  • Research the blogs to find their most popular content. One way to do this is to use a tool like SocialCount. It will tell you the blog's most-shared posts. It is only one metric, but it's a good one to use.
  • Read the most popular posts on the website, including the post's comments
  • Come up with new topic ideas based on what you have read
  • Write multiple headlines for those topic ideas
  • Send the owner of the blog a short email asking if could you guest post, and give them multiple headline suggestions (don't send only one suggestion, as they may not like it)

When you get a positive reply from a website, make sure the post you create is utterly brilliant and completely error-free.

Use Facebook Ads To Get Additional Traffic

Even guest posting is unlikely to get you enough traffic for adding 30 subscribers to your email list per day, so you'll probably need PPC advertising. Facebook ads are usually cost-effective, and they are trackable and easy to target. When setting up your ad, select the option for increasing conversions on your website. Also, make sure you install the Facebook pixel to ensure proper tracking.

Test, Measure And Improve Everything

Finally, test and measure everything. This includes your call to action text, button colors, ad copy, guest post email pitches, and more. Split testing is ideal for this. Then, measure the results and make improvements.

One final thing - you can see after reading this post that it really does take time and money to add 30 subscribers to your email list each day. Therefore, you should only try the tips in this post if you have a good strategy in place for converting those subscribers into cash.

It is true: Facebook ads can ramp up your list when you have a good strategy in place to collect leads for your business.

If advanced, also use retargetting and look-alike audiences on there!

    Cheers.
