I have an idea how to make 100% open-rate .. but I need your help [ stupid idea?.. maybe :) ]

Hi ,

So as some of you know I've posted here few days ago an issue that we're having this days .

Collected over 10K Emails and barely get 15-20% open-rate .

In this point we have 2 options ( if we want to reach 10K opens ) :

1.Collect 40K more
2.Increase the list to 20K and open-rate to 50% ( making sens as those people subscribed )

Now I decided that we MUST find a way to increase the open-rate ( as it's cheaper ) ..

So I'm pulling out my hair for the last week by thinking of a good solution , it might sound crazy and of course maybe it'll never work but hey , worth a shot !

What is the only Email that EVERYONE will open and read through ?

REPLIES to your own question !!

It will never get to SPAM
It will never land in PROMOTIONS tab

Yes , you can't use this system for 10 times buy if you're doing a pre-launch and the most important Email is the day you launch ... so save it for this Email .

How to do it ?

We need ( and here I need your help as I have 0 understanding of coding ) to code something that once the user subscribed it will automatically send us Email from his/her Email ( with his permission of course ) that says something like :

"Please sign me"

After we get this Email from the user we won't reply , won't SPAM , just leave it untouched ... once we launch we'll reply WE LAUNCHED , Here's the LINK as this Email will land in their PRIMARY tab we'll definitely be able to use images , videos and other promotional materials ..

Bottom line - just replace the code for pop-up with contact-us form just without the content part ( only name and Email )

Your wasting your time. There is no way to do what you want. Also, even if it was possible, it's not a real question that the user sent, so the message wouldn't be a reply that they are waiting for.

Do you know how well your inbox delivery is / are you using seeds to test this? If you are losing any decent portion of your mail to the spam folder, this is going to effect your open rate?

You don't know how many users used a throw away account to just get whatever your freebie was and are just simply never going to open your mail, because your sending to an account they don't check often. Or they used a good account and at this time are not interested in what you are offering, but not ready to unsubscribe, but again, just don't open.

Are you split testing your subject lines, to see if you can increase your open rate from it?

Ideally you should be purging your list of users that don't open after X time. I get for most email marketers that is difficult to do because of the financial connection they have with the data, because of how much each user cost. But there comes a time, when your probably doing more harm than good, because it hurting your engagement.

    I agree with DIABL0 here...

Another reason people stop opening your emails is if you get lazy and don't email them.

It's important to emails then at least once a week, in any case you should be doing it at least 3-5 times a week to keep them engaged while spiting your mails between promotions and content.

But the truth is...I don't think even the greatest marketer gets a 50% open rate...that's just unheard of!

And if you are not getting opens from certain people in the last 60-90 days, then I think it's time to clean your list because those that don't open, are also hurting your deliverabilty rates.

You would be surprised that while most email marketers know this, they don't do it. I'm on some mailing lists, where I will be on it more than once, just to see if they do it and I have yet to see it happen. Even big marketers, that will tell you that you should do it.

I buy data, so my costs per users are a fraction of what mainstream email marketers pay, so I remove unresponsive users much quicker, because I have almost no financial attachment. When I'm working with rev-share data, where my upfront costs for the data is $0, I get rid of them with in 2 weeks.

Plus if you are using autoresponders you are typically paying per month to have a max of X number of contacts. So the last thing I want to do is waste money with a bunch of unresponsive contacts in the account..
