Other Ways to Monetize Your List?

Hey Warriors

The most common way to monetize a list is to promote products to the people on that list, but what if you're in niche where there aren't that many products to promote? Is there something else that you can promote to your list on a regular basis that will make you a scalable income and satisfy your subscribers? Thanks in advanced.

It is really hard to answer without knowing the niche. But what you need to do is see if there is a way to promote other niches that are related. One example would be if you have a list for "Weightloss for Men" you might promote dating offers

But like I said, without knowing it is hard to give ideas

      Thanks al,

I'm in the Health/ Fitness market, and most of the products in this market are centered around weight loss, diet plans, and fitness routines, which is fine...But I know there is more money to be made in other smaller niches such as the Heartburn Remedies niche, or even the Psoriasis Treatments niche, as I've dabbled in promoting products for such before and have made very good money.

So I guess I can use the Psoriasis Treatments niche as an example. If I'm building a list around this niche, how else can I monetize said list after I've already promoted the only 2 products I could find in the niche to promote?

First thing that pops up to me is skin care products. Also, maybe write up some ebooks on how to keep your psoriasis from coming back. Another on what to do if you have a flareup. etc.

          Thanks for the input Rob.

I think the big takeaway from this scenario is that there really isn't a very good amount promotional material outside of the top 3 evergreen niches.

You could ASK people on the list what problem they most need solved, what is their biggest challenge, what would help them the most, etc. then provide or create products that give them what they want.

I would def agree with the majority of the other posters said esp with agmccall above - dating offers work very well...or if you promote any kind of medical/suppliment niche directly to men herbal enhancements for men is def. a popular way my network's affiliates generate income

I have been monetizing purchased data for over 16 years.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers because there is no credit card / purchase required. All a user has to do is fill out a form in order to get paid. So conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a purchase.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money angle/benefit to them, as they have always tended to work the best, as they seem to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to largest possible targeted / untargeted audience). So the potential to generate high volume exists. Also, they are easy to cross promote.

In addition to PPL offers, I also promote free sign-ups(dating for ecample) and free trials + s&h. While free trials aren't 100% free, users are typically getting something that normally has an upfront cost of $50-$60+ and just has to pay like $4.99 shipping and handling to receive. So conversion rates are still good.

Lastly I promote a very limited number of offers that are 100% purchases. In this case it's still important for mass appeal to exist, which is why iI market a limited number of offers. Typically theses offers provide some cost saving for a widely used product, is a new/novelty type product or is a product that solves a house is on fire type problem.

In the end, it's all about mass appeal and free offers will usually do better than purchase offers.

For this, you can make your own products to add to your niche, probably an ebook or sort of short course for your market. Additionally, you may also look into physical products related to your niche.

If you do not have a lot of products in your niche
1 you are in the wrong niche
2 start making your own products this is the way you should go
