Are we talking building your own list? or just spamming people?
Building a list is worth it
Spamming or emailing people on a list you did not build is not worth it

I have been monetizing purchased data(email) for over 16 years.

You can buy data where the users have given permission to receive third party messages. You can also get rev-share data with $0 upfront costs and then you split the revenue with the list owner.

In both cases, you can get fresh/targeted data and/or aged data and are 100% can-spam complaint. With rev-share data, I wouldn't waste my time with aged data and strictly only use fresh/targeted data that is with in 1-7 days old.

Making money with this business model, as it's really a business model, than a traffic strategy. Is about collecting the opens / clickers and dumping the unresponsive data. That way your building smaller but highly responsive lists. So that when you mail, you send less, but make more. Additionally, it's about about acquiring specific data and matching it to specific types of offers. SO it's not a viable oprion for all users, unless you just want to make money.

I took a look at atomic and from what I took away, you need to use it with an smtp service or one that you set up. This has some limited value, but in some instances can be worthwhile. But I would need to learn more about the program.

Generally, bulk email that is not targeted to your offer or niche is going to give you a very low conversion rate. Often, you and your email hosting company will get numerous complaints from people that will say they did not give you their permission to contact them (even if they did via a co-registration or other "indirect" system). Since these folks aren't targeted, and since they don't recognize you or your business, I believe this is one of those marketing strategies that you should avoid. What is there to gain? You want people seeing your offer that actually want what you have!

You will have much greater success marketing to fewer prospects but those that have already shown an interest in the niche.

Your best bet is to start building your own list. Many programs for bulk mailing could get your isp banned. And buying bulk mailing services isn't very targeted, you would be throwing your money away

    Hi Amal:
To your question about Atomic: I have found Atomic Email Studio to be a system that will do some of the heavy-lifting for you, especially if bulk mail is the way you want to go. It has some cool features but it also takes a bit of getting used to in the beginning. The broader question is, though, if bulk mail is the way you want to go.
I agree with the majority of the posts above, actually. Bulk mail is not targetted and will dilute the focus of a marketer's focus. It is also better and beneficial at all times to have a small(er), yet highly responsive list, rather than a huge list with conversion rates that suck ultimately, or going the "bulk" route. I think that is the strategic decision to be made first.

Sending out an "email blast" to a database of untargeted people isn't a great business model plus you can burn a hole in your pocket if you don't know what your'e doing. Focus on building a targeted list of email subscribers.

There seems to be a big misconception that bulk email is only untargeted. This is completely false. You can get fresh/targeted data in bulk and send it.

Additionally, even data that is untargeted can be sent and be extremely profitable. However, it does require special tools, resources and knowledge to do and without them, then I will agree with everyone that you should not even consider doing it.

You need to build your own email list, bulking email is not a good election nowadays.

It's a lot of work and a headache to bulk send to lists that haven't opted in for your offers. It's better to find list suppliers that offer highly targeted data that have opted in to receive third party offers. The lists also need to be very fresh or else you will run into bad data and spam traps which will ruin your system.

Bulk Mailing seems short cut and faster way to get traffic/subscribers, but it cant replace legitimate email marketing.

With bulk mailing you can however make some affiliate earning and also grow your subscribers list

    There are some tips

Always clean your list with a reputed service provider
    Always honor Opt Out lists
Your subscriber pages must have privacy policy and report spam options
If you are not getting results, change your data, but dont keep doing same thing

It's really more of a business model than a traffic strategy. As it really requires knowledge, tools and requires to do profitably.

If your acquiring data that the users have given permission to receive third party emails, then it is completely can-spam complaint and no legally spam. That is not to say you won't get any spam complaints. As that is subjective to the person that receives your messages and may not associate or remember the permission they provided.

The whole point is that it is a short cut / cheaper way to build responsive lists, by cleaning, segmenting your opens/clickers and dumping the unresponsive users.

If you want results than go for the subscription. Bulk mailing is not very targetted unless you are sending to your own list. So as many have said before me creating your own list is the right way to go.

email marketing is the best and fastest way to make money with affiliate marketing. but I would advise you to use web based emailing system like interspire, mailwizz or other with smtp for best results. Desktop based emailing systems are not good because 1) they reveal your IP address 2) Your ISP may not allow you to send emails 3) Your ISP ip may get listed.

so better setup a server with powerMTA or postfix, setup web based application and send emails to your list.
