Is there anyone with a self hosted solution that is able achieve a great inboxing rate with gmail addresses? What software are you using?

Thanks

I know people who have used sendy along with amazon aws who get good inboxing rates.

The key, like everything else, is to test your deliverability. Test your subject line, test your intro, test your links.

You'll want a few email accounts to send your emails to first to see if you inbox. If you don't make some changes and try again. Keep tweaking until you hit that inbox.

That being said, if you are aggressively pushing cpa offers you'll probably be booted off of amazon aws.

  • I use Sendy exclusively, works very well with all addresses from my experience. Doesn't have all the 1 click fancy forms found on aweber or others but it's ridiculously cheap. If your knowledgeable enough to set it up without too much trouble, you should be able to quickly make the sign-up form pretty with no troubles at all.

GMAIL is a beast and hard to deal with animal when it comes to inboxing.

PhillyIMBlog - your question can be answered (covered) with several explanations and details.

But just to be precise, IN-BOXING depends a lot on the content of the email as well.

Same emails can go to inbox and if you add certain more words deemed as SPAM by autoresponder, then same email will land to SPAM folder.

No worries, I've found a perfect solution, I'm having no problem inboxing gmail now. Too bad OVH servers are automatically blocked by hotmail

OVH IPs have lower reputation for US ISPs but they have better results on European ISPs . We have observed they deliver great on GMX.de WEB.de and ORANGE.fr

I use Sendy and Amazon SES and have a very high inbox rate. Even when sending HTML emails.
