which email management service should I used?

I'm trying to build up an email list and was hoping google mail to be sufficient because they're not supposed to have a limit. Unfortunately thats not the case as they do have a limit of 10000 contacts.

I will keep adding emails to the list and I heard mail champ is good but how much do they cost? are there cheaper options?

Cheap is not always the best choice especially if you yourself actually want to make money online. I use one of the high end soft wares...Aweber rocks! $19 per month (and up) but worth every single penny!

MailChimp free for 2000 subscribers but around 10k range every email service will cost and by adding random email to your email service will waste your cash and get report from people all day long.

I use Getresponse @ $15 pmnth and up. The only reason I chose them over Aweber, was because Aweber do not accept PayPal, whereas Getresponse do.

Both offer a 30 day free trial.

Note: there are a lot of threads in the WF advising not to use mailchimp.

AWebber and Mail Chimp are usually the hot favourites..

Personal choice of course, the more contacts you have the higher the chance that you are going to have to pay for it.

I have used quite a few autoresponders and I have to say Active Campaign ranks among the best. Before that I used to love getresponse but over the last few months, I have found that every sing message I send with there service goes to the spam folder regardless of the wording or whether or not its a promo.

I've heard good things about aweber as well but personally I would recommend Active Campaign.

We use Sendinblue. It's better, with more intuitive interface, easier to use and almost 4 times cheaper than Mailchimp. They also offer SMS campaigns and marketing automation.

Btw, Sendinblue's free plan (unlike Mailchimp's) does include autoresponder.

i got an account there as well, among others. They are good.

And who is mailchimp, aweber, or google ? Exactly, they all are all too old to walk.

As far as I know, MailChimp is free up to 2,000 members, but that does not include autoresponders.

Cost of list-management shouldn't be a factor for most mailing-lists, because you should be making enough profit for it not to matter much. The "industry standard" for Internet-marketing is $1 per member per month.

Other factors include how different list-management options do things differently. From my recent experience, it seems that MailChimp does not automatically add buyers of your products, to your list, yet it seems to be standard practice for sellers to add all buyers to their list (I've heard that GetResponse used to allow that, I am not sure of their current policy), although I guess it is possible to do it manually if you're not selling all that much.

What autoresponder to chose depends on what exactly you want to promote. Certain autoresponders only allow NON Marketing emails, they donot allow JVZOO , warriorplus promotion emails. So my suggestion is to read the content they allow to promote then followed by other factors. hope it helps

Most all have a free trial. I would recommend testing them out and see which works best for you and how their deliverability is. Some are way to restrictive in what they deem acceptable content, so be sure to check what they don't allow. However, most of the time you can get away with some stuff, as long your not raising any red flags.

I use a self hosted application called arpreach.
Its highly recommended if you have a huge list or if you want to import your subscribers from other mailing services too.

Are you suggesting self hosting softwares are better? I guess it's cheaper considering you have to pay monthly fee

It always gets me down when people look for the "cheapest" options when building their businesses, especially when it comes to your autoresponder. If you were filming a TV commercial for your business, would you look for the cheapest option to create your commercial? :-)

Yet, that is exactly what your autoresponder is. It is your brand, your way of reaching out to your prospects, your face.

That having been said, most autoresponders have a tiered payment plan. I use aweber, I think its the best and you will only pay $19 for your first 1000 subscribers... I think.

After that, if you have more than 1000 subscribers, you should have plenty of dough to invest.

Aweber is the best option you can go for 19$ a month.

Mailchimp also a good option but sometimes there followup e-mails are end up in spam folder . I wouldn't go with a service like that. Do your research if you're unsure with anyone's suggestion.

There are number of blog posts comparising the best services out there.

Hey the thing is aweber IS good. But i do not recommend them. Absolutely not.

"Mailchimp is user friendly" yes, but are they friendly for IM messages?

and these guys shut down big lists - without warning

thats why i do not recommend them - all companies that went big they are The Internet

good on them, but is it actually true.

You [the big new co.]'s are sooo replaceable. I give many alternatives in
my free report. I know them all. same deliverability like aweb, just less

      arrogant, and cheaper!

the old fat guys been around too long: Replace them now, and get better customer support. The new guys are still hungry, the old guys could not care less

I'm considering using Active Campaign. It's used by some of the top Internet marketers. Its kind of pricey for your size of list. But it has list segmentation features that may make you a lot more money depending on what type of campaigns you are running.

  • i subscribe to aweber just recently... i completed my registration.. however when i start to create my list and capture form... it always say " service unavailable" i thought there was a problem with my internet connection, but all other sites are working perfectly... is there anyone encounter this problem before? can you give me some idea on what to do?

Aweber and getresponse are both good spots to start...

However I'd recommend waiting a couple weeks until Market Hero comes out.

If you're goal is to track the value of all your leads, it's a must have.

I use Convertkit. I have used Aweber, Mailchimp and Getresponse in the past. But I have been happiest with Convertkit. Every program has their idiosyncrasies and issues. But Convertkit has a ton of different ways of tagging and using your subscribers in ways that the others don't. Also, with Convertkit still being relatively new, I have found that my open rates are much higher than any other service I have used.

I personally use AWeber, for their industry-leading deliver-ability rate. However, I heard that ConvertKit is gaining a following because of its rich features at an affordable rate.
