What the heck should I email them?

This sounds maybe totally silly but I have a 3k freebie list which I never monetized to death because I don't know what to email them after offering my own product.

Now, there's a reason for it.

I collected them giving away some free tutorials about how to use a Accounting software, there is a 7 mailer sales funnel which try to sell my product.

But after that I do stop to email them, only did some broadcast when we run a special for our product.

Those folks are no clear niche, there are small biz, individuals who like to learn how to use it to find a job, CPA's etc....

I once send them an email to get some special on a Antivirus software...no sales at all...a few cancelled subs

Any idea if and how I can monetized this list with different profiles?

Thanks in advance

You'd have a whole array of promotional emails with affiliate links you could send them and other types of emails as well.

    Here's a couple of suggestions.

    1. If you're curious what kinda of emails they will respond to you can send a couple of good contents you think they might like and see the open and click rates (if a certain content is opened/clicked) higher then that's a hint as to what they like.

    2. Send them a survey and just ask them what they're interested in. www.surveymonkey.com has free surveys.

    3. Amazon affiliate links, clickbank, jvzoo, wso have all sorts of affiliate offers that you can send them.

Again observe the open and click rates and if they're higher on certain emails, send more of those type of contents with affiliate links from the above market places.

You signed up 3000 people for an accounting software tutorial, right?

Now , you are pitching them with an antivirus -- that's totally off the topic. And ofcourse, no one will repsond to that.

Your audience has interest in accounting and you should only pitch them with realted content.

On side note, maybe you should write a "back to work" email to your subscribers. Letting them know where you were all along and how you were working on some secret projects underground. Connect with them. Bridge your communication gap, first.

    Thanks

    From accounting software to anti-virus.

    Talk about being off topic.

If they opt-in for accounting software, then promote other things in that niche.

You mentioned them wanting to learn how to find jobs, so promote products on click bank that are in that field.

Actually it's a course about how to use Quickbooks and not a list about getting Quickbooks.

That was really a totally irrelevant offer we send once just to see if there is any reaction.

The problem is that I'm having a problem to find a product relevant to what they once signed up to....we offering the Quickbooks software off course as an affiliate and try to push our own course...then an accounting basics course....but last never did any sales.

The list get's emails for about 15 days then 0, so I think I go for the "survey" route to ask them some stuff prior to sending them emails as a lot already forgot whom we are.

Thanks to all, always great to get some input, also some kick in the butt

Oh and I don't fell comfortable to send out something about finding a job as that share of the signup is the smaller part so the others would be pissed I guess....

Anyhow I'm having a question..do YOU worry about people un-subscribe from your list? I think I shouldn't other than to the risk to get flagged as a spammer if I overdue it.
