What Else Can I Do With This?

Hello all,

Trying to figure out where I can go from here.

I wrote a scraper for a niche. I was looking for people who had old websites.

From what I can see, people in this niche seem to be accessible 2 days out of the week...

The ones I have reached (via phone) have been receptive enough to just say "send me an email". No appointment setting thus far.

I am not a salesperson - so - I had thought about scraping for the email addresses and just doing a batch email to see what happens.

I thought that perhaps:

1. I could use an email ID that I don't care about to send out the emails
2. Anyone who responds would be placed on an actual mailing list (which would be the start of a Sales Flow).

I have heard that sending a bunch of emails at one time is not such a good idea - but - it is the only thing I can think of at this time.

Is there something else I can do? Calling is taking too long.

Thanks & Regards.

Don't batch email - that's just spamming and will look as such.

You need to get the name and email from the website. Then send them a personal and friendly message spelling out exactly what you can do for them and what the benefits are for them.

Try and align the benefits with what you've seen is wrong and how to put it right.

End with an apology for taking up their time. This will help you being marked as a spam monger.

Thanks for the input. I can get the email - the names would be a little more difficult - was just trying to figure out a faster process. I figured that the first run would result in a SPAM identification (hence the reason for sending it from an ID that I did not care about).

I'd stay away from email spam, personally.

Not yet! You need to first learn to communicate with your prospects and understand their needs and wants. Only then will a subscriber base be beneficial.

I dont think scraping mails will get you far. Focus on the quality of subscribers and not the quantity.

Creating a new email address to use for sending out batch emails is spamming. You don't want to do this at the start of your marketing campaign.

I suggest to first solidifying your goals and objectives and work from there. If you want to have loyal and steady subscribers in the future, then look into email marketing.

Have you tried social media marketing? This will enable you to get in touch with your clientele personally. Once you have built a reputation, then email marketing is a good tool.
