    Great Article! Getting current "deadbeat" subscribers to open emails is a nightmare task, so keeping them engaged in the first place is a far better option.
    Article quotes..."So why not hold on to your existing customers?"
    In some cases it is cheaper to give birth to a new subscriber than to raise the dead.
    Good ideas on Loyalty programs, rewards etc..
    A good marketer doesn't go for the jugular in every message

    I have worked on a lot of loyal customers, and four years later, they still purchase from us. Once you have built a relationship with a client, they feel a certain camaraderie and familiarity, so they stay loyal to your brand -- just make sure to maintain the relationship.
