Questions about squeeze pages

I need to set up a squeeze page on my wordpress site, I am looking for a free template to use, but have been having issues (getting overwhelmed) with landing page vs squeeze page and how to set them all up...

Here is what I want to accomplish..

1. Collect emails by offering something for free (guide). This means that I want a squeeze page not a landing page correct?

2. How do i set up a squeeze page and get mailchimp to collect the emails using wordpress?

3.Can I have an auto responder send out the guide for free or will I need to sign up for Adweber ect. to get this type of service? I am using Mailchimp currently, but it looks like the free version doesn't offer this.

Thanks for any support you can give me!

Squeeze optin landing page are the same sales page and thank you page are different.Personally I have 8 years online experience and I would suggest you to use GetResponds autoresponder because getresponds is more flexible if you're in "Make Money" niche.

Your landing page can be your squeeze page, a squeeze page is just a type of landing page.

If you want your landing page to offer something free for an e-mail, then you need to build a simple landing page. Strong headline, strong offer they will want to give you your email for, and you should have some sort of backend funnel set up to monetize.

I'll second the "don't use mailchimp" in the MMO niche. I've been with getresonse since they have been getresponse (years) and it is the only autoresponder that hasn't "banned" me for selling "get rich quick stuff" (even though it isn't get rich quick, no one gets rich quick).

Once they enter their email, you need to offer something for a low price that is congruent with the freebie offer, or at least make there download available on that page with some sort of incentive to share, or take some sort of action.

Clickfunnels and leadpages are good to start with (you can get your feet wet with a trial for CF still I believe, and it already has your funnels built out for you. You just add in your text and offer.

    Hi Emeka,

I am using mailchimp right now and have designed a squeeze page by using the embedded function inside my website.

I have to agree with the other two guys that the free version of mailchimp is very hard to configure. I found some information online on how to edit the html and I got it look ok but I do not like the process and how they force you to double opt in then the recaptcha page.

I will be changing back to get response as it is much easier to use.

I checked out landing pages and click funnels but a lot of those sites charge much more.

If you still want to use mailchimp I can forward you the site that helped me with the html coding.

    Let me know.

    Hi Emeka,

    1. Yes!

    2. It depends on the squeeze-page plugin you're using. That's very easy, just copy code from Mailchimp and paste onto the plugin. Follow this: Mailchimp -> Login -> List (the list that you've made to hold email subscribers) -> Signup form -> Embedded forms -> copy them code (something like this: <!-- Begin MailChimp Signup Form -->...v...v...v... <!--End mc_embed_signup-->) then paste this code onto where the landing-page plugin requires.

If you looking for a free plugin to make a landing page, you can try this one: wordpress.org/plugins/landing-pages/

    3. No, Mailchimp allows you do it so watch this video:
    Hope This helps

I too am using the free MailChimp version.

You can either use MailChimp to generate the Form and put that on your page, then send the Welcome email manually every 24 hours or so to the new members (either sort by date joined, or have the Form send the opt-ins to a Group called "New", then send the Welcome email to that Group then remove those members from that Group.

Or you can use another Form generator . . . I use NinjaForms which is free, to email you the opt-ins so you can collect them manually, and use NinjaForms to email you the opt-in and automatically forward the visitor to the Thank-you page with the download link. Then you can manually import the opt-ins to MailChimp.

    Hope that helps.
