I have built up a list of over 20,000 subs in about a year. I get as many as 100 per day. They are across 5 or so niches but I am struggling to even break even per month after I pay weber to store my leads. I don't really spend money on leads since I use Instagram to get all of my leads. I really need help converting my subs to buyers. Can anyone out there truly help me? I feel like I could easily be making $100 per day with 20,000 subs.

You should be making more than $100 a day by now.

    I don't know what's stopping you.

To get you started, here is a thread I wrote on WF a while back: http://www.warriorforum.com/email-ma...ats-yours.html

It will give you a direction, I bet.

If you'd need any help, let me know.

You will never make roi with that commercial service. Your expenses on maintaining that and if that grows big will put you in the negative.

Are you sure you're promoting the right products and did you even check your list if it were real email address not some bullshit address that people put?
If you have sent previous emails what is your open rate? If your open rate is shit then you must have a non working list.

Verify your list first and get an engagement.

If you have engagement but no sales you're promoting the wrong service/product to the wrong people. Try out different products for every campaign so you can sort your list well and see what they're interested on

My initial email is a 50% open rate so at least half are real. percentages fall after that from about 25% down.

    What niches?

I have been monetizing data(email) for over 16 years.

I have always heavily promoted PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers, because there is no credit card / purchase required. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversions are typically much higher than offers that require you to make a sale.

Generating leads is so much easier than making sales.

    Something to think about.

Did you verify your list? to see if they are active basically?
Do you have a seedlist and send your initial offers to your seedlist first before sending to your main list. To check if your emails go to spam?

When I say leads, I'm not a big fan of zip and email submits. In case that is what you are referring to when you say...having them enter their email.

I favor lead gen offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as this is what has typically worked the best for me and tends to have the greatest mass appeal. So the potential exists to produce high volume.

Some of the verticals I have done real well with are: insurance, debt, credit, education, mortgage, loans, assistance, homeowner offers, etc...

Start giving more value to your subscribers. Send valuable reading materials or videos and keep them engaged. Sometimes give some insight about yourself as well on your emails so that a bond is built between your list and you. Give valuable free stuff even on emails where you are pitching. Keep your email subscribers boosted and enhance their knowledge on the related niche. Do no pitch on every email sent. Ideally pitching once in every 15 days will be okay; in the meanwhile keep sending them valuable stuff regularly - educate them as you build a bond with them. Hope this helps.

Maybe you should use better sources of traffic to get your leads...

If you're getting all of them from Instagram, then they might not be that good quality buyer traffic.

    Have you tried paid traffic?

if it was a niche source I would agree but like 50 % of every american citizen above the age of 18 is on Instagram. That is kind of like saying don't use Facebook for traffic. It is where the people are.

I used to have the same problem. I solved it by understanding my subscribers. So here's what you do: Run a survey and ask them what they're interested in. Ask them what problems they have that they'd pay money to solve. Ask them why they haven't bought from you. Everything will be easier when you understand them.

My second recommendation is to use Aweber for your buyer's list only. Use something else for all your prospects who haven't purchased anything. This will save you lots of money and will make your campaigns more profitable.

thanks for the response. i really doubt they will fill out a survey but i guess it is worth a try. they barely even open my emails.

2nd. i have no clue who my buyers are since i have no way to tell who clicks on a link and buys something. 99.9999% of my subscribers don't buy anything so i would have to move my entire list off weber and what service would you recommend moving them to?

There can be many reasons why you do not make money. If you hard sell, you probably turn your subscriber off. If you address a subject your subscribers arent interested in, they dont read your mail. If you dont solve their problems they don't listen to you. You must find the reason why your subscribers does not respond to your emails or buy your products.

IG is crawling with 'general list' types of email collection systems

Stats show that subscribers spend less than 15-20 seconds on your email, so it's vital to have a great design and really catchy content.

In opinion, try to offer free valuable information that will help them solving their current problems like you in this thread. Secondly, it is time to clean your list in order to save you money and I don't think this is a good sign.

If building lists is easy for you, then why don't you build lists that target people that would be interested in specific verticals, that you can promote PPL offers.

With PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers, there is no credit card / purchase required, All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

This is what I have been doing for the past 16+ years, except I buy the data. Because it's quicker, cheaper and highly scalable than developing lists. However, if you can really cost effectively develop lists, then you should be able to do very well.

I can get them to sign up to my landing pages but I have had 0 luck getting them to sign up to PPL offers from Maxbounty. Can't explain it but thats the case plus you only get like $1 a lead on most of those offers at least from the niches I am in. Some of the niches don't even have a PPL at all and it seems like chasing pennies to make dollars.

I'm not a fan of $1-$2 zip / email submits, which is what it sounds like you have been trying.

If a niche doesn't have good PPL offers, then don't bother with the niche.

Most of the PPL offers I promote pay $20-$40. There are ones that pay more and less, but how well something converts is also important. A $9 offer can do better than a $90 offer, depending on how they convert.

Go sign up to other networks, if maxbounty doesn't have decent offers.

There are plenty of verticals that have good paying offers: insurance, loans, education, homeowner offers, debt, etc...

Not sure you really understand what I am doing. I use instagram to build my email list. My instagram accounts are based around the top niches for making money in affiliate marketing. It's not really possible to build an Instagram account based around loans, education and insurance. The offer would have to be relevant to my pictures or profile. Those are not unfortunately and I am promoting information products from clickbank, I really don't promote a lot of CPA or PPL yet. I would like to maybe start but I think if I need to figure out email marketing better since I am pretty good as grabbing leads for almost no cost other than my time and the cost of about 50 private proxies per month.

The other issue I have with PPL or CPA is the bridge page or presell page. Never really built one and was thinking possibly using a quiz lander, where the cold traffic would hit a landing page that asks 3 or 4 pre-populated questions verifying them (or so it looks to them) then it send them to the PPL or CPA offer. I really need some help because I feel like I am so close to making a ton of money but just missing a few pieces to the puzzle.

I don't use bridge/presell pages unless the advertiser provides. The only time I have ever used them was for weight loss product. Never use / need them for PPL, since the user isn't buying anything...just filling out a form.

I guess I just don;t understand what / how you are doing it. But the fact that you say your pic / profile is the key to generating leads, is not very appealing. It sounds like you are generating leads that have no real interest in buying anything.

I agree with most of what the others are saying.

I also agree that with a combined list of 20.000 people you should be able to at least make 1k a month... It sure depends on the niches you are in and generally what kind of offers this niche has. It also comes down to how often and what you email to them.

My personal IM Coach has taught me that you usually need three things in your email copy:

    1. Engagement

The best type of engagement (other than buying something or opting into a PPL offer) is to make them actually reply to your email.

    2. Story

Tell them some kind of story, either from your real life, so they can relate to that or you could even make one up if you are able to be creative. People love stories.

    3. Reason Why

Give them a reason to do whatever you want them to. You want them to click a link and buy the product? Give them reasons to do so. Don't sell them the features, sell them the results they want to achieve.

When you are able to include those three things in your email copy, you should see some results...

I wish you the best of luck!

Yes I understand build that list But not all lists are good It is better to have a target list that is target the people you want on your list. Yes I know it will take a long time to build up to 300 but you will get sales. I had a big list and sold nothing. But target people on forums and Facebook also make free videos on how you do something will also help. People that see that you have used a youtube link to solve a problem will never purchase from you but if you put together a video people will find you and purchase from you. Robert

Thanks for the response but I can't make videos because the niches I am in I use aliases because they are either women related (I'm a guy) pet related and not related to the kind I have or just not something you can make youtube videos on really. But that still shouldn't be an issue since some of the biggest affiliate earners go into niches that have nothing to do with their lifestyle.

Stop I also had a list like yours Great list sold nothing. Look having 20,000 people on your list that purchase nothing is not as good as having 10 people that have purchased. Clean out your list. Put the people that have purchase from you into a buyers list. Anyone who has not spent a dime with you for 60 days or even 30 days will never spend money with you. delete them. Now My list is a slow builder but I use targeted techniques (forums Facebook) to build my list. People who want to know how to be a affiliate marketer or video marketer or learn how to build products to sell. It is better to have a small list that trusts you and will purchase from you then have a list that just wants to take from you without giving back Hope it helps

There might be something you can do with some of these niches. Thank about the weight loss and bodybuilding, for example. Why do people care about that? For some of them, the primary motivation is hooking up, or even getting into a relationship (that goes for both men and women). There may be an opportunity for some solid affiliate action for male and/or female dating advice info products, for example.

Yes, you could easily be making $100 per day with 20,000 subscribers. If you are not making a good amount of it, then there is a high possibility that most of the subs. might be fake or inactive.
You need to check the following things:
    i) Are you promoting the right product and in the right way?
ii) Are the email addresses of the subs. are real and active, or the 20,000 subs are just a number?
The best way to have a check on the email Ids of the subs is to analyse the open rates on the emails you have sent previously to your subscribers.
If you have a low open rate, then most of the email IDs will be inactive or fake. And if your open rate is good but you are not making a good amount of it, then there is something wrong in your campaign. It may be promoting wrong product(s) or service(s) among audiences with no interest.

You should be making a ton of money with 20k subscribers. Might want to look at what the expectations were when they joined. Are you giving great quality content? Are your subject lines reading like the best headline ever? Did they sign up for something free and never realize you intended to sell? You might want to have an offer (low price point) when they sign up or in the first email so that you are upfront about your intentions. Also targeted traffic is significantly different from random traffic. It is hard to imagine how you could get them interested enough to sign up but not interested enough to buy... Delivering good quality content is super important otherwise they feel there is no reason to buy because all you have is fluff...

i think my emails are pretty good with good headlines. like i said i worked for a week with two different people writing new emails and headlines and even with a decent open rate on some, 25% nobody buys from any of my lists. I am lucky if all my lists combined i sell 4 things per week. I do start with a lower offer on some list, like $7 and my sales still suck

nope, heres why. I entirely use Instagram to get leads. I have 100 Instagram accounts in different niches. They either sign up thru a landing page once they click on my url in my Instagram profile or they text a phrase to a 5 digit number and reply with their email address. I do know that the only people that can join my list thru the texting options are in the United States so most my leads are U.S. based.

55% at least on initial email, falls after that to the 20s. open rate i don't know unless i do a broadcast which i really don't do much of since i have a bunch of emails in my autoresponder but open rate when i do send one is around 10%

I read somewhere that each subscriber in your list is worth at least $1 per month. You should be making much more than $100 per day

that can't be possible. they wouldn't grab my lead magnet if they were not interested in my niche
