How to avoid losing subscribers who paid to be on our list

Our non-profit organization's email newsletter platform has recently notified us that something across one of our 6 newsletters has triggered a block from SpamHaus, and that we must send an opt-in message to everyone. We really do not want to do this - as our lists are made up of members who, by paying the yearly membership fee, were told that they would receive weekly communications.

The provider mistakenly sent out an opt in to everyone a few weeks ago, and a mere 200 replied out of 10,000. So obviously our list would basically be cut to zero.

Is there any way we can avoid having to send an opt in message to already subscribed members who clearly want to be on the lists?

Move your list to another service. Or bring it in house.

Why did the provider send anything to your list in the first place?

Spamhaus is the worst of all possible blacklists to get on.

Do you have the link to the block. I would want to know which blacklist and why you were listed.

Are you on shared or dedicated IPs?

Do all the lists use the same IP(s) to send the mail with?

As Rob said...you are going to have to move.
