Creating My free Report

So:

I have created my squeeze page and my thank you page. I was going to simply link people from my thank you page to my affiliate offerer's website page meaning i collect their email and then hopefully they buy the product and I collect the commission.

However there is no real reason someone would provide me with their email if they could just search the link themselves and not go through me. So I thought I should create a free report or something. My question is do people normally write their own free reports and make it downloadable or do you usually have someone else write it for you for a fee. My niche is the MMO niche particularly on how to make money completing surveys. Should I write a mini report myself on my experience with Surveys and hit them with a follow up email to the affiliate offer?

Really appreciate the any help,

Cheers,

Gavin

You don't really need an email to send them a PDF report either. Sometimes I use the term "e-course" to justify collecting an email address.

But, in the grand scheme of things, the medium doesn't really matter. If they want your offer bad enough based on your copy, they will opt in.

If you're good at curating content you can write the report yourself. Short reports work well because most people have the attention span of a housefly.

If they see a PDF that is 100 pages long they will never get through it all.

Once your report is finished you can insert your affiliate links inside for a greater chance at making sales. Then do your follow ups.

Randy- i was thinking of just hiring a writer to write up a report for me but i am wondering if the possible return from the extra incentive is worth the money spent

Yes, you should create your own report. After creating it, offer it through an optin form and collect as many emails as you can.

You can add several affiliate links in your report, but you will get much better results if you keep the emails and start sending weekly offers of affiliate products or other products you may create. If you add a link to your squeeze page, or product, I could come back with more suggestions.

I just finished doing a live broadcast on the subject of why the traditional free offer is DEAD.

See if it will help you at all.

This is totally fine. Nothing is wrong with this and many people are building their list using this tactic..

Regarding your free report, you can actually write it your own. Ifyou have some success with survyes, then you can make a "case study" kind of report and reveal them how you earned thru surveys..

After that, you can send them affiliate offers. Something like 'I'll help you earn more thru surveys using this system" (which then will lead to an offer).
